A: No. The tips melt. It is not heat resistant.

The Room Essentials brand often has super affordable stuff that’s decent quality, but these tongs are awful. The hard plastic got all chipped and scratched after a couple of uses, and now it’s impossible to clean. We used turmeric in a recipe recently and the tongs are permanently stained, even after running them through the dishwasher and also hand washing them. I hate that food gets into the scratches and scrapes on the hard plastic and won’t come out. I’ll be buying all metal or silicone tongs to replace these.

These tongs are decent, they’re just absolutely NOT safe for high heat. I made the mistake of not looking closely at the materials. Go for silicone tipped tongs instead, nylon is not worth is if you’re using these for anything hot!

ok listen they are like $3 or that is what i paid or whatever but yeah they're exactly as you'd think girl. CHEAP. they do the job and they're better than the pure stainless steal ones i had before that destroyed my little pans with their sharp little demon hands but yeah when you try to get them to unclench ( l o l ) they just kinda don't want to and it's like ok i thought we talked about this and i told you the safe word and everything is ok we're just flipping noodles around but they're kinda shy tongs so consider that on your journey to buying a new pair of tongs ok <3

These are my to go to tongs! It’s the second time I’ve purchased this item and they last a good while! I’ve also noticed they last longer if you hand wash them as opposed to washing them in the dishwasher! Plus the price is beyond perfect!

These tongs are affordable, effective, and easy to use. They're particularly great for heftier foods given the "scoop" design of the arms. I can see the potential for a short life span if you're not delicate in cleaning and using them. With that in mind I still find them worth their cost.
