I’ve run it for 12 hours two days in a row and have only caught what looks like cat hair on the sticky pad. It’s louder than I expected, on par with our dishwasher or air fryer level of noise. It’s not huge so not entirely intrusive but does take up a lot more space than I anticipated. I think in the future I’d buy the plug ins from Stem versus this machine.

I have loved having this low profile machine to make sure my house is fly free without fly ribbons all over. It works well and attracts fly’s from all areas of the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this device is smaller than I expected and very cute which is not typical for a device designed to trap and kill bugs! It takes a little while for the fan to start catching bugs so you have to be a little patient but it’s not very loud on the lower setting and I kind of enjoy the hum of it. The price is great, especially that the refill traps are so cheap. This is nice to use outdoors too on my balcony, I just take it with me and bring it back in when I’m done sitting outside. Overall, a great buy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend this product for larger flying insects. For small bugs like knats however it's wonderful! I had it on for maybe 2 hours and I already have several fruit flies and other small bugs caught. It's a pretty brilliant bug trap. It tempts them in with the light and when they get close there is air suction that pulls them down to the sticky pad. Basically a bug black hole.

We've tried the plug in lights, and while they work, it was not with the performance of this fan trap. Having it in the kitchen keeps the little bugs away from their favorite spot, reducing the amount of bugs flying around the house. Love it.

I set one up in my bathroom for about 8 hours, and when I checked, it had already caught a couple of flies. I was honestly impressed with how quickly and quietly it worked. Setup was easy - the fan is compact, easy to assemble, and it comes with 5 glue traps to get you started. I also like the added features, like the calming blue light and the built-in timer option, which gives you more control over its usage. Overall, this fan trap has been more effective for me than the sticky traps I’ve used in the past. It’s a cleaner, smarter solution, and I definitely recommend giving it a try if you're dealing with flying pests.

My husband saw a mosquito and then we couldn’t find it - I set this up (so easy and user friendly) and selected the 12hr timer and went to bed. Next morning it had the mosquito and this annoying gnat I kept seeing stuck to the paper! So quiet with the fans on and the light isn’t crazy bright. Will be getting another one for the upstairs hallway :).

I have tried deterrents like citronella and fans, I have tried glue type traps, and we have sprayed pesticides around our home, but we can't seem to keep the flying insects away when our kids go in and out to play. We decided to put this trap in our garage to encourage flying bugs to stay away from our door, and it works! It is sitting on a shelf in our garage about 15 feet away from our entry door - we didn't want to put it close to the door because it's supposed to attract them, so we figure it's better to attract away from the main home. It's very quiet, attractive (to both humans, and bugs - who knew!?), and effective. When we first checked the trap, we didn't really expect to find much, but we have noticed significantly less flying bugs inside our home, so we were pleasantly surprised to see that there were a ton of bugs in the trap! That means that the decrease of bugs in our home really was because of this trap! We will be buying more of these for around our home! I really wish these were recommended for use around the pool or eating outdoors because I would buy them all!

Is not to big and you can use it around the house in any place because is very cute. I like the gray and light green color with purple UV lights. I placed it in my kitchen and in my living room. I loved the UV lights that attract the mosquitos. If I were a mosquito definitely I would follow that light. 😆. It has a fan that is not too noisy. It attracts and traps insects, mosquitoes and fruit flies. It does a good job but I was expecting to see more mosquitoes in the glue traps. The starter kit includes the STEM Flying Insects fan trap, USB-C charging cable, adapter, brush for cleaning and 5 glue traps. It has a timer which I think is very convenient. Yes I recommend it. The price is not bad. I have used other more expensive brands and the STEM brand works better. It is also very easy to clean and to replace the glue traps.

Okay, I honestly didn’t expect much from this product as I have purchased similar more expensive items in the past that ended up being a waste of money but I’m here to tell you, THIS WORKS! It’s finally spring here so I opened the doors to let fresh air in the house and in the process a couple flies got in. I turned the STEM system on before bed and when I checked it the next morning there were 4 flies, a may fly, and a few gnats. I was pretty shocked it caught that much over night. I can’t wait to use this during the summer when the mosquitoes are bad and find their way in the house or when gnats get bad from fruit or my potted plants. Other than its efficacy, it doesn’t take up much space, it’s visually appealing (my guests think it’s a diffuser or a speaker lol), and it’s also very quiet with just a very low hum from the fan motor. I absolutely would recommend it to others!!
