These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items.

I bought 5 of these 32 Qt gasket containers to contain all my desk files. 3 of the five had warped inner pieces where the hanging files are to be hung. So I had to alternate the sides of hanging file folders. Not a great design. If I ever buy one of these containers I would check closely in the store if the channels were not warped on either side of the container.

The container is great, but the latches are absolutely terrible. The plastic pegs that hold that latches in place are not durable and have broken off three of six latches on the box. Without the pegs to hold the latches in place the airtight seal is far less effective. The reason I purchased the box was for the airtight seal, so it kind of defeats the purpose.

The plastic latches are very cheaply made. The pegs that make the latches swivel to hold and seal the cover are very small and are all one piece with the handle. These pegs have snapped off six (6) of the boxes that I own making the boxes almost useless because the whole purpose is to have an air tight seal. If Sterilite would make these latches better, this would be a very nice box.

I read the reviews online of multiple people receiving damaged containers, but you can only find the 120qt size online so I took a chance. I didn’t even finish opening the box. I can hear pieces rattling around, and the box was already ripped so I could see at least one was shattered. Going straight back to Target.

I love these. I work with a lot of bugs and reptiles and use these often for them so you know they have to be 1) secure and 2) durable. They’re amazing for the bugs I keep because the seal is the best I’ve found and they’re easy to clean and modify. For reptiles I use them for quarantining new animals in my collection. I’ve never once had a “escapee”. I see some people complain about them breaking but I’ve never had them break out of the 5 years I’ve been using them and I’m frequently moving them around, cleaning them, bumping them around and opening the lids. I’ve never had a problem with them breaking or the latches breaking/malfunctioning. You’d have to have a lot of weight in these and drop them from another level directly on the corner (which is doom for almost any tote) to break these. I’ve also never had a problem with the gaskets aligning. Yes they can be removed but I’ve never had that be a complication and that’s why I like these, because I’m frequently opening and closing lids quickly and I heavily rely on the gaskets to always be lined up and not malfunction. I highly highly recommend these and have even done tutorials for other bug/reptile keepers.
