It is made of Midweight paper straw material which constitutes of 72% Straw, and 28% Polyester. We would recommend not to fold the hat as it could lead to crushes on the material and embellishments could fall apart. Hope this helps! - Eram

The shape of this hat is so round and large that it covers a lot of shade on your body so perfect beach hat. Love the pearls on the top part as well. The color and material are typical straw feel and look. Good fit! I received an incentive to write this review.

It protects enough of my shoulders and back for the pool and beach. It is snug on my head and feels very secure. Wonderful addition to my Summer wardrobe. This is a great hat for blocking sun as the brim is oversized. The rhinestone detail is really pretty and the color is not as dark in person as it is online. I was also able to wear a S/M which surprised me because I have a large head. Great purchase overall.
