The texture leaves my hair soft and with very low shine. More of a stylization tool instead of a hold. Overall I highly recommend finding a suave styling product that works for your hair type and look that you’re going for. There is not a one product for all type of deal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comes in a 1.75oz plastic tin, easy to open. Medium hold low shine. Upon applying to fingers has a nice smell and smooth consistency. Its consistency is somewhere in between a lotion and a body butter. Upon applying it is very light and goes in seamlessly. Doesn’t leave any white streaks or marks that need to be ran through to disappear. Gives more of a light hold which leaves your hair still feeling more natural and without product. Adds a little weight to your hair to better style and reduce frizz/volume. If you’re looking for a strong hold that won’t budge in the wind this isn’t it. If you want something that won’t harden or hurt to move, can be adjusted throughout the day, and won’t suffocate your hair this product hits the mark. I like the product and will continue to use it different amounts of application to test it out further.

First of all the smell was not something that smelled a bit like hand lotion, which I wouldn’t want to put in my hair. Secondly, the consistency made the application of the product, and when it was sitting in my hair, feel a little bit gross. Maybe this product is better suited for people with shorter hair, but for me with moderately longer hair (for a guy) I was not fan.

I have used suave before but just their bodywash so I wanted to give their defining cream a chance and I was so happy that I bought it because now my hair looks put together but not too shiny at the same time which is exactly what I was looking for. It has exactly the amount of hold I was looking for and doesn’t have a very strong scent either.

By the end of the day, I was surprised at how much my medium length hair held in place without feeling sticky, heavy or greasy. Using it smells like you’re getting a barber shop experience. It’s a small container, but a little goes a long way.

It’s matte unless you use too much of it. The packaging was good but be careful, when I opened the top there was a lot of product stuck to the lid.

It wouldn’t keep my hair in the ways I was trying to use it, but did in fact have a low shine. If you want a natural looking hairstyle with low effect and have it fall this may be for you. Its scent is really nice fresh and masculine which is great for hygiene.
