I see that several reviewers were disappointed about the lack of a fire grate. But one reviewer actually did something about it and bought a 20 inch wagon wheel fire grate. So that's what we did and it looks and works great. And like other reviewers, we also drilled holes in the fire pan for rainwater drainage. Parts fitment was fair. One of the retaining nuts for the flue was welded at a weird angle and the weld broke when I tried to get it right. But it worked out ok bc I made it work. The main selling point for us was the spark screen on the door and the spark screen on the flue. We live in a desert area where there are fire restrictions every year, so this was very important for safety. This is a beautiful and very functional chiminea, and we love it. It is an impressive addition to our outdoor living area.

Looks great…however half the screws wouldn’t line up and could only tighten them Halfway or they’d strip. Easy assembly?….NOT!

I love the way this item looks. The function I didn't like how the wood sits directly on the metal so I drilled some holes for air flow and water drainage then bought a 20" wagon wheel fire grate. It's so perfect now!!

Not only does it handle quite a bit of wood for a nice warm output but it is a hit when people come over too. For the price this really does deliver.

Shipping was SO fast ...it's very cute & in expensive compared to others!

It went together smoothly, is decorative, and burns well. The fit of the door/screen is imperfect, but fully functional. We are enjoying the chiminea a great deal. I'd buy one again, but trust I won't have to for many years.

This chiminea has made our small city garden, a warm and magical spot - a great alternative to the camping we have missed out on this year.

Received the product in a timely manner. Works as expected and radiates heat very well. The spark screen at the top is very helpful in capturing sparks and ashes. It would have been great if there were a few drain holes so water doesn't pool inside the chiminea. Additionally, a raised log grate inside would also be beneficial for the longevity of the product, but also for improved airflow. Overall, the product is beautifully designed and looks great in our patio. The little to no smoke in your eyes should be a reason enough to purchase this, especially for small yards.

This chiminea is so beautiful! My only wish is that there was more information from the company about how best to use and maintain it. Specifically I am wondering if I need to put sand on the bottom to preserve it so the bottom doesn’t burn out. I also wish they had a cover for it. Regardless, I love it!

Beautiful and puts out abundant heat. While it’s burning the Chiminea will turn almost black but after it cools off it returns to original rustic color. Both are beautiful. Love that it’s y’all enough to keep smoke above our heads while sitting at at table near.

The smoke pours out the front opening constantly. For some reason it won’t draw the smoke up the chimney. Not happy!

We have a small patio and wanted a fire in the corner so as not to take up much space. This was perfect and went together quickly - although due to the "pre-rusted" finish the threads are a bit stiff so I ran a tap through first to make it easier. I also bought fire grate and cut it to fit inside to keep logs off the floor, which I covered with a layer of sand after drilling a small hole to let any rain water drain out. We've had our first fire and it works well. Bonus is the smoke is vented up high, so less chance of it blowing in your face. I've given it four stars as I think a grate should be included at this price
