Q: What size are the balls? Ours are missing from the game

submitted by Summertime - 3 months ago
  • A: The game has 2 small balls. The balls are the size of a small marble that can fit and roll within the maze.

I grew up playing a wooden version of a marble maze. I'm happy that I found this Mario version for my 4 year-old. I also enjoy that the green and blue mazes can be disassembled and moved around to create 'new mazes'. What I don't love is that the base isn't sturdy enough; you have to use one hand to control the joystick and a second hand to hide the base of the game down on the table or floor. My toddl r has to play on the floor in order to view the mazes in full. The ball kept 'jumping' (falling) out of the mess and onto the floor. I think it's because the maze walls weren't high enough and are open to air- there's no ceiling over the mazes and the tilt on this thing is for real. My toddler cant make it to the top which is sad for him; my husband can which is cool for him. May just use this for rainy days to keep my toddler engaged and not lose interest in this seemingly impossible game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I will start off and say the directions need to be better, second it very hard to set up, third the kids didn’t like it said it was too challenging to play. The stickers that came with it were hard to place and know where to go this is not game for us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a pretty fun maze game, its not as entertaining for older kids like my 8 year old, however my 6 year old loves it. You do have to put all the stickers on you I recommend you doing it before giving it to your child. The material isn't that great so just be careful when setting it up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This maze game is really fun and so different than a typical toy which keeps the kids interested in it and makes it a great gift. It comes in a box that can be used for storage which is great. The only thing to keep in mind is that the marbles are very small so this cannot be used around babies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love mazes so they were very excited to play this game. It took me around 15 minutes to put this together using the instructions that came with it. The kids loved the stickers that came with this and had a great time sticking them on the game base. The game is simple to play, you have to use the joystick to tilt the base around and move the ball. The game base is very detailed and seems sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good for older kids, kinda difficult for littles. We tried to show our daughter how to play and she had a hard time with the mazes. My daughter is five and likes maze type things. My husband likes it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been such a fun challenge for all three of my kids (4, 7, 11). I also feel that it teaches some great hand eye coordination and movement too. In the beginning my four year old especially had a hard time not moving it quickly and roughly from one size to another, but he quickly learned to manage it better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So would I choose this for kids? No. The amount of time it takes to build this maze is ridiculous. My 7 year old brought this to me one night to build with him and I was like sure, 2 hours later we are finally ready to test and it still didn't work. Probably my fault but still. Let's push easier assembly for kids and their poor parents lol

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My oldest (8) loves this! He loves trying to solve the "puzzle" and I really like that there ae different mazes so it keeps his interest. He is a puzzle kid so this was right up his ally. It was easy to put together and has kept him entertained for a long time.

Super Mario + Mazes = Family Fun!

4 out of 5 stars
Peg14 - 3 years ago
originally posted on shop.epocheverlastingplay.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am amazed how the Super Mario franchise continually reinvents itself to appeal to kids of the current generation. Just like his father, my grandson loves anything connected to the Super Mario characters. Add in the challenge of mazes, and the Super Mario Maze Game DX becomes a new family favorite! The main downside to the game is once the grandkids played the limited number of maze challenges in the game, they started to become bored with it. My solution: put it away for a while and bring it out on a rainy day! They always enjoy going back to a kid-friendly activity with their old friend, Mario.
