A: These are the ingredients according to the package so it looks like no flax! I have allergies as well so I definitely understand the concern but I love these and this brand!! First of all, these aren’t pink. They just look like normal sugar cookies. Second, they taste disgusting and are grainy in texture. They taste like straight flour. I’ve had many delicious cookies from Sweet Loren’s. This isn’t it.

I’m super picky when it comes to food (both taste and texture wise), and I’ve even more selective with my desserts. I have Celiac Disease, and this is the best gluten-free cookie dough I’ve had! I also love that they are a healthy, natural, and low-sugar option! I absolutely love them, and I hope these change from a limited-time item to a permanent item! Note: I eat them straight out of the package and don’t bake them.

I really wanted to like these, especially because I wanted something to replace my love for the Pillsbury sugar cookies with the pictures on them. I like that these are naturally colored, but that does leave them vulnerable to a varience in color, leaving mine a pink-ish gray color. Not super appetizing. My bigger issue was with the smell, taste, and texture. It smelled, and even tasted a bit, like play dough. There was also a gritty texture to it. I can eat them, but I don't think I'd consider buying again. Bummer.

Amazing flavor, my new favorite! They held the heart shape well. Unfortunately some didn’t stay as pink when they baked (on the outside) but the inside was pink. I got two packages and baked them at the same time same temperature and one batch was much more pink colored

Okay, I don’t know what the reviews are talking about. I love sweet Loren’s cookies! I have tried most flavors. This has to one of my top 2 flavors. These and chocolate chip are so yummy. The sugar cookie is the perfect sweet level for those who don’t love superrrrr sugary stuff. It’s just the right amount of sweet and plus who doesn’t love a cute heart shaped cookie!??

I’m surprised by all of the negative reviews!! These taste great - exactly like the other sugar cookies they sell. They are indeed pink, just not bright pink, which is to be expected considering the dye is naturally sourced. They are a pale peach-pink color as shown in the attached photos (photos taken under kitchen lighting as well as in natural light from a nearby window). The pink isn’t blended perfectly into the dough so they don’t look solidly pink from close up. If they’re not pink at all you probably overcooked them. Follow the directions on the package. They won’t look done when you take them out of the oven but they’ll finish baking on the pan and will harden when they cool. My boys had a blast decorating and eating these!

Agree with if you aren’t gluten free and don’t have multiple allergies and tried because they were pink and Barbie then try something else. We have a gluten, soy, peanut, tree nut, and egg allergy. Our options are limited unless I make it from scratch which I do most of the time. My daughter never gets the fun character packaging or shapes. She was beyond excited about these! Some people also said they turned brown/gray I feel like they were cooked too long. It said 8-10. I cooked 9 minutes. They are light pink but also so thankful for no dyes!! Love this brand!

Their recipe has changed over the last few years. Sadly the old base recipe for their cookies use to be a lot yummier, but I think it changed for a healthier cookie. Still decent for a gluten free, vegan cookie. They’re lightly sweet, but if you want moisture to stay in the cookie so it’s still soft and doesn’t taste as sandy, underbake it slightly. I never go over 7-8 minutes for her cookies. They tend to dry out and lose their flavor the longer they bake. 8 minutes also helps maintain the pink before it turns to a different shade. If you let it cool for a minute or two it will be firm enough to hold still.

I wanted to love these cookies. Cute shape, natural pink color but they taste awful. My kids won’t even eat them. They have an odd texture and leave a film in your mouth. Pass on these!
