A: It has a Male to Male USB cord built into it that runs through one of the arm straps into a pocket in the computer section. The pocket is big enough to hold my 20,000mah power bank. It's a really nice feature that had me looking at this bag.

You will need to purchase a battery pack/ power bank in order to charge your devices. Then you can connect your device to the Built-in USB outlet using your charger's USB cord.

I have an older version of this, but it has remained my go to backpack for everything. I have tried several others catered a bit more specifically to my needs, but none of them have been able to compete with the compartments, organization, and adaptability of this bag.

Absolutely love my backpack! I’ve been using this backpack for 15 months, 3-5 days a week, and it’s I great shape. I love all the pockets, compartments and double zippers. It took me a while to figure out where to put everything but once I did - my stuff stays put and I know where to look for the things. Holds my somewhat heavy 15” laptop, cord, mouse, mobile charger, notebook, headset, a few files, lunch, 2 coffees, a water bottle and a few other items that I may need while away for the day. The backpack is heavy with all of my ‘stuff’ but is extremely comfortable and fits me well. I have a longer torso and was able to adjust this to fit me just right. I ordered & returned about 6 different backpacks before settling on this one. I find myself using this for personal travel, as a carry on. It’s more comfortable than any bag I have. I highly recommend this backpack. This is 5th Swiss Gear backpack for our family. We replaced one after 9 years. The others are all still in use.

I bought this backpack for my middle schooler (5’5”, 130 lbs) and was very disappointed. The shoulder straps are quite wide and they rubbed on both his neck, and his upper arms when his arms moved as he walked. The adults in the house also tried it on, with a couple books inside, and also found it very uncomfortable in the same areas as he did. This is not a nice fitting, ergonomic, comfortable backback. Also, the zipper to one of the big compartments was really hard to open and close. We returned it. The return process was easy.

This backpack looks nice, but it falls apart. My HS age son has only used it for school, so it’s only been used for 7 mos. For the price, I was expecting this one to last. Very disappointed and won’t be buying this brand again.

I need a new bag for business trip. I usually just bring my day bag but doesn't have the amount of space like this Swissgear bag. Pockets for your laptop and tablet (TSA friendly), a compartment for your glasses, shoes, bottle, and plenty of space to bring your gears. I also used this as a camra bag. I could easily say that this would make a great daybag as well if it was a bit more rugged.

I bought this as a replacement backpack for a Swiss Army one that I had for about 10 years and loved. This one was a little bit pricey, but I was excited about the upgrades. The zipper broke after about five uses, so the bells and whistles were pointless. I kept thinking I had fixed the zipper, would use it again, and it would split open when I was out using it, so my stuff would be splayed all over! So frustrating. The 90 days for Target’s return window passed since I only use this for travel, and Swiss Army needed proof of purchase that I didn’t have. It was still within one year of purchase but I had thrown out the receipt and Target could not provide me with that. I ended up getting another backpack (osprey) from a competitor (REI)and I’m much happier. Save your money and maybe just get the basic version of this one or just don’t get it.

This was a replacement under warranty. The seams came undone on first one but has been a real workhorse for carrying two laptops and an iPad most of the time. Love most functions. Still not sure about how to use some but utility is great.

After spending a lot of time picking an ideal backpack for my wife for travel, we chose the Swissgear 5358. It is a good fit for our needs. Love the compartment for shoes or wet gear. After about 9 months, one of the seams pulled apart. Got in touch with Swissgear and, after a few exchanges of information via email and finally postal service, they sent us a replacement. Nice to know that some companies actually keep their word. I should add that I have another Swissgear pack that has lasted over 10 years with no issues, and it's used a lot.

I got this to replace a 10 year old Swiss Gear pack that has been tearing at the seams of the shoulder straps. I really like the size of the bag and the layout of the compartments, but the laptop strap fell out after only a few uses. I was looking for a bag with the chest strap as this really helps with back, and shoulder pain when traveling for long periods. The buckle connector on this chest strap is extremely thin plastic. There are multiple straps on the pack that use buckle connectors and all of them are of higher build quality than the chest strap. I don't understand why the mostly decorative buckles on the side of the bag get larger, stronger connectors but the high tension chest strap is so flimsy. I like the bag a lot and have used it plenty, but I am a little worried about the durability in the long run.

I travel in & out of the city everyday and needed a reliable backpack that will endure the heavy usage, this backpack is the perfect fit. It has all the storage needed with convenient pockets throughout and is very comfortable to wear. I'm so happy I choose the grey heather because the material is of the highest quality and much more durable and cleanable than others material surfaces offered.

I bought the ballistics blue 5358 ScanSmart bag a month ago because I liked the other one I had so much. The weird thing about it is they are the same backpack one one think. Although, after I already took all the tags off their are some simple features that are missing between the ballistics blue and blacked out models. One of the key features I miss most that the black one has is the netted water bottle compartment on the outside. This feature was very convenient and you didn't have to take the bag off to put your water bottle back in storage. I'd be weary next time buying because the same model bag I purchased last time was not exact. A little disappointing. The bags should be listed in separate areas of the website, not under the same model as a different color since features are different.

I had purchased the SWISSGEAR 5358 USB ScanSmart Laptop Backpack - Gray Heather backpack months ago. And it was a solid backpack. One side strap was starting to tear and I wasn't thrilled with the inside pockets. While I appreciated the organization, I didn't feel like it was in the right spot. As a result, I purchased the Ballistic Stingray last month. The layout for cords on the interior is just a little different but makes all the difference for creating more interior space. I feel like I can pack more into the main compartment and I can stash cords and a battery charger in the laptop compartment without it bulging out. I was nervous about the color because I tend to stick to all or nearly all black. The online photos to me show a different "gray" than what was delivered. I was very happy with the gray that showed up. It's more of a steal or gray compared to what I thought might have a hint of purple/maroon. This is a solid backpack and I'm eager to travel more with it. So far, it's been awesome for what I need. I've always liked this brand and style, but this backpack so far is the best I've had.
