Yes, the canopy part will sway/move when windy out. We close it up when it’s heavy wind or storms/heavy rain expected. The pole itself is sturdy as is the base which we filled with sand. Got it at a great price on sale

Very nice umbrella! The umbrella moves a bit when it’s windy, but not so much that it shifts the shade or seems like it’s going to break. Also pleased with how easy it is to operate, and the many different ways to move the umbrella to provide the best shade depending on the time of day!

We put this together and used it exactly one time. It blew over even when attached to heavy base filled with water. We put it back up and now it is very crooked. Bent when it hit the ground. Just glad no one got hurt because it is very heavy. Very disappointed.
