Targus USB-C Alt. Mode Dual HDMI 4K Docking Station with 100W PD Pass-Thru

Supposed to be a 100 watt power supply, but only kicks out 55 Watts on my Dell Inspiron 7415. Of no use to me.

I bought this device in order to connect two external monitors to my MacBook, and indeed there are two ports for that purpose. However, the two monitors can only display the same screen, which is useless. I discovered this limitation only after searching online for a solution. I still use it to connect one monitor, and I have a second device (from Apple) to connect the second monitor.

I bought this a few months ago and it crapped out randomly. Drivers and cables are all good, I used this for work and lost hours trying to make this work again.

Six months old it worked flawlessly. Then both video outputs stopped working completely. Hope the warranty is honored.

Works with Windows 11 and Linux (Fedora). I needed it to work with both OS and it did not disappoint. 10/10 would recommend if you have a Linux or Windows laptop.

As a student, this is my first time setting up a second monitor for my laptop. This device has worked great for me so far.

Allows my laptop to be connected to my all in one desktop and another external monitor simultaneously to provide 3 screens. Small and compact vs other docking stations.

It is a great product to enable 2 external monitors. However, since I have gaming monitors, I cannot set the refresh rate to more than 120 Hz when my monitors support 144 Hz. Works well out of the box.

Purchased this to hook up my work laptop to my home monitors, then using a USB peripheral switch(KVM without the video inputs), would switch control between my personal computer and work computer. (A true KVM would switch everything over, sometimes I want my personal comp on one monitor and the work stuff on the other at the same time. Hence going this route.) Even with the KVM plugged into power, this device's non-charging USB port will either not recognize my mouse and keyboard or if it does, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting them repeatedly. This happens if nothing else is plugged into the dock. I tried plugging in my work laptop's power supply to the power passthrough port, to see if that would improve things, it did not. Everything works fine when I plug it into the 2nd, charging, USB port however. It recognizes my mouse and keyboard through the KVM and never disconnects. I tried a blutooth headset, USB transceiver, in that non-charging port, to see if it was just my RGB mouse/keyboard drawing too much power, nope. Doesn't work for the transceiver either. It will charge my wireless headset from the non-charging port, as long as my laptop remains on. The second it goes to sleep, the port stops charging. So the 2nd USB port is useless. It should really be upgraded to a 2nd charging port, as it doesn't function otherwise. Thinking it might be the unit I purchased, I returned my first one and purchased another one from a different retailer. It had the exact same issue. So far the rest of the ports have worked fine. Dual monitors running at the same time works, with Ethernet plugged in, laptop power supply in passthrough port, and mouse/keyboard work through peripheral switch/KVM to the charging USB port. (Again nothing works in the non-charging USB port, no matter what is plugged in.) It does get warm, as other reviews state, but that hasn't caused an issue yet. I've had power bricks for laptops get as warm as this thing does.

I bought the product just a month ago and would highly recommend this product; the setup was super simple. The product's price doesn't make you feel like you're breaking the bank for all the features you get.

Works well generally, but does not like it when you turn off one of the two screens when using both HDMI outputs (reverts the remaining screen to blank). Would be nicer if it could switch more seamlessly without having to go to display settings, particularly if you want to regularly switch from a single to dual screen use within a dual screen set up. That said, overall I am happy with my purchase.

Small, lightweight and all the right connections, easy to hook up

After 4 hours of operation with two monitors, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse and internet link, I lost my internet connection. Now I have to plug my internet cable into the laptop to avoid overheating.

The device works well and as intended but my Dell laptop tells me that I am not charging with an optimal setting and using a pass through power device. It did not do this when I used a larger Targus docking station so I am not clear if this a problem or not.

Product works amazingly well. Albe to connect 2 hdmi screens either side of my laptop via the usb c port and mouse able to flow left to right between screens, using all 3 screens simultaneously. Just what i needed and very good value for money.

Received the dock a few days ago. Plugged it in to my ThinkPad and two monitors and had it up and running within 5 minutes. Less expensive than many other docks.

Great product! Very satisfied! Easy to work with! I recommend it!

I'm using it with my Windows laptop and have set up two monitors to connect to it. It's been awesome to have the two monitors to work on spreadsheets on different screens. Using the docking station was really easy to set up right out of the box.
