Q: Does this have an auto shut off? I have the older model and ran through batteries because it would turn on when putting it away and now it’s on the Fritz.

Q: Will the display stay on for a few seconds after removing the item? Weighing small packages but they will cover display during use.

Q: How much clearance is there between the scale and the countertop? (I bought another low-profile scale and found that water easily got into the battery compartment.)

I have two of these, one in black and one in white. Perfect size for smaller kitchens. Allows measurements in oz and g as well as "tare" which allows you to zero the scale after an item, like a container, has been placed on it. Great option for those looking for more accuracy concerning portion size and related.

Bought this taylor scale twice, this one lasted like 6 months, last time it lasted a year. (Yes i changed the batteries). These are crap scales. Also the measures are a bit high, I’d agree with the person who said they arent exactly accurate, the measurements are a bit high. These are $25-30 and are not built to last. I wish target sold another brand, I’d buy something else. It does have fl oz. On it which is nice but you end up with twice the fl oz of a glass measuring cup so the accuracy is questionable.

Weight capacity is stated to be 11 lbs but it does not have lbs as a unit option. Only does oz, g, ml, and fl oz. I should’ve read more closely. Although, the box does state pounds oddly enough. Other than that, it seems nice.
