It does take a bit to learn all the rules but it is easy to follow once you’ve played it. My 8 year old LOVES this game. Since buying it, we’ve played it a ton. Really looking forward to getting the expansions!
Cool game but a bit complex

A bit complicated but cool game. It takes a good hour to completely figure out the whole thing. My daughter is obsessed and she plays it with siblings every day.

The game is very interesting and it’s fun to play and very easy to learn. The rules reference strategy because even though the dice are random you still need to know what to do with your resources in your resource pool which is what you call your resources and companions are very useful and a bunch of spells do help you in some ways until the point where you are at 1hp and can’t do much but still very fun game
So cute

Super fun, yes there is an element of chance, but strategy is your friend throughout play, figuring out how to spend the gems and power gained from the dice rolls is KEY as well as learning how to move and position yourself in relation to other players, which spells to collect, etc.

Never playtested. Rulebook references "Strategy" but is entirely reliant on random dice rolls. Huge teeturtle/Unstable Games fan, but incredibly disappointed in this one.
