Q: Spider seems to have dropped the connection with the remote after changing batteries. I press the on/off button on the bottom and it lights up, but then turns off when I press the remote. Any fixes?

A: Hi ZJC. Please change all of the batteries in both the remote and spider with new Brand name alkaline batteries. Please note that not all battery voltage is the same and the battery type makes a difference in the functionality of the toy. Once changed in both, press the On/Off button on the spider and point the remote at the toy and you should be ready to go. If you are still experiencing issues, you may wish to verify that all of the batteries have been placed in the correct polarity. It never hurts to double check :) Thank you. The Battat Team

A: Hi PCinSurfCity. There may be hair or carpet fibers stuck in the wheel mechanism and this will stop the wheel from rotating and moving. Please check and remove anything that may have gotten stuck. You should then be good to go. Thank you. The Battat Team

Save your money. It will only "crawl" on hardwood or solid surfaces. We have a very firm rug in our living room and it cannot move on it. It's very delayed in response when trying to control it. My son has a disability and likes it enough, but I would say it's junk for any typical child.

Stopped working not even a month after he got it for Christmas. He loved but the spider eyes would light up after new batteries but before you can even put it on the floor it would turn off.

My six year old grandson loved it, and his siblings were also enthusiastic about it! (His sixteen year old cousin wants one, too!!) Seems sturdy, moves fast, and big enough that it clearly is a toy (versus a real spider).

The lifelike movements and sound even startled our cat!😄 The remote is easy and safe to use, and my 8-year-old son has no trouble making it scuttle across the floor. I’m impressed with the quality— it’s very well made and looks durable. I also love that it’s ready to play straight out of the box since the batteries are already installed. The only downside is that it works best on smooth surfaces, but overall, it’s a fun toy that’s totally worth it!

The spider itself is pretty big and well-made (so definitely not flimsy). Also the remote controls can make this giant spider move very fast too!

Packaging is durable, product came undamaged. 15$ for this tarantula is great price. Battery came preinstalled, which was great. Works front ,back side ways. We got home took it out of the package and it worked great, the 2nd day it was slow I changed all the batteries ( new ones) and it was still slow then it just stopped going straight, the one wheel doesn’t work. I would not recommend this. I’d like my money back but don’t have the box to return the piece of junk!!
