Description
TetraPond® AlgaeControl™ is formulated to effectively control algae blooms (green water), string and hair algae (spirogyra) and blanketweed (oedosonium) in fountains and ornamental ponds with synthetic liners. When used as directed, TetraPond AlgaeControl can be used with plants and ornamental fish. Before using this product, dislodge string algae off stones with a high-pressure hose nozzle and scoop out with a fish net or pond vacuum. Ensure your pond is well aerated. Works incredably fast in a small pond. However it did kill 90% of my minnow fish ! probably my fault as I didnt calculate volume, so caution may be a good idea when using this product.

Extreme high temps caused runaway Algae growth. Green water was only visible item in pond. Added this product as per directions and within hours it became amazingly clear. After a couple days, in the early morning and evening (cooler periods), the pond was amazingly clear and my many fish seemed very happy. I know I was. Here is a video of the pond after using this product:

USED FOR OVER THREE YEARS AND IT HAS KEPT MY POND CLEAR AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT OR MY FISH..LITTLE ONES BORN HAVE MULTIPLIED WITH NO LOSS AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. VERY SATISFIED WITH IT AND HOPE TO GET MORE IF AVAILABLE.

First used this several months ago - all my fish died. Neighborhood was sprayed for mosquitoes the night before and thought this was the problem. I used again last night - again all the fish were floating this morning. I have a 150 gal pond - I used 2 teaspoons of algae control - less than the directions say. Pond has a fountain and also a waterfall so the water is aerated.

I have a small 25 gal pond setup with two goldfish. Have tried many such products to control algae growth on the rock face oof the fountain, none have worked till I used this Tetra product. Almost immediately saw a clean face on the rock formations miraculous. Would certainly recommend it, need to use very very little.
