About the Book

In the sleepy post-war English village of Wilbeth Green, everyone believes Paul Everly burned Rosemont Abbey, then disappeared. Only his twin sister, Louisa, is certain of his innocence. With the aid of Inspector Malcolm Sinclair, Louisa will stop at nothing to clear her brother's name and solve a murder no one else believes was committed.

From the Back Cover

Everyone in Wilbeth Green has something to hide, but she's about to uncover their secrets.

1956
In a quiet English village, the smoldering ruins of Rosemont Abbey have set the residents' tongues wagging, and everyone is quick to accuse troublemaker Paul Everly of the crime of arson. Paul has vanished without a trace, leaving only his plucky twin sister, Louisa, certain of his innocence. Fueling her conviction is an inexplicable connection--she felt her twin's death an hour before the abbey went up in flames.

Armed with nothing but her wit and her keen sense of intuition, Louisa embarks on her own investigation, challenging the dubious townspeople and the disdain of her aunt and uncle. Even Inspector Malcolm Sinclair, once Paul's closest friend, warns Louisa to abandon her pursuit. But Louisa is determined to solve a murder no one else believes was committed, even if it means unraveling secrets that could shake Wilbeth Green to its core.

"A thrilling and beautifully written tale from start to finish, filled with a strong sense of time, deft characterization, and more than enough twists to keep one guessing. Readers will be as hard-pressed as I was to put this one down once they begin."--ANNA LEE HUBER, USA Today bestselling author

Dearest Readers, if Naomi Stephens isn’t yet on your radar, she definitely should be! The Burning of Rosemont Abbey is my first experience with this author, and it certainly won’t be my last. I was captivated from beginning to end, unable to put the book down. It’s a perfect blend of mystery, suspense, and intrigue—ideal for curling up with on a cold winter night. Atmospheric, vivid, and sharp-witted, this story keeps you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between the characters, moving from friends to enemies to lovers, is absolutely spot-on. Stephens is truly a talented writer, and I savored every moment of this book. About the 📖 In 1956, the peaceful village of Wilbeth Green is shaken by the burning of Rosemont Abbey. Paul Everly is immediately suspected of arson, but he has disappeared, leaving only his twin sister, Louisa, convinced of his innocence. Her certainty is fueled by an eerie connection—she sensed her brother’s death just an hour before the fire. Determined to find out what happened, Louisa embarks on an investigation, defying the skepticism of her neighbors and the disapproval of her aunt and uncle. Even Inspector Malcolm Sinclair, who was once Paul's close friend, urges Louisa to let it go. But Louisa is relentless, ready to uncover the truth and expose secrets that could shake Wilbeth Green to its core. The Burning of Rosemont Abbey is a gripping Agatha Christie-esque whodunnit filled to twists and turns you never see coming!
