I really wanted to like this product. I had heard so many great things about it on social media, and as it is Black women owned brand, I was so excited to support. I decided to give it a try after my current lipsticks ran out. I’m disappointed to say that I wouldn’t recommend this to people who have the same preferences as I do: First, the applicator was a bit too harsh for me. While the product goes on well, it dries so quickly that it’s hard to clean up or modify. Once it’s dry, that’s the end all be all. Second, this product is great in that it lasts all day. I drank, ate and had this lipstick on for 6+ hours and it did not move ONCE. It is literally cement. However, it feels very drying on your lips which I didn’t like very much. Also, I think the worst part of this product for me is the removal. I didn’t realize that I needed to use makeup remover (oil based) for it to come off. I scrubbed my lips with water and a cloth so hard that they have now started bleeding. As much as I love a matte lip, I don’t think it should require makeup remover to take it off (again, this is just a personal preference). But it stained my lips overnight and even when I woke up the next day, after having showered and gone to bed the night before, some of the product was still on my lips. I looked it up and ended up using coconut oil to remove it, as I don’t use makeup remover. Also, this product tends to be very messy and it got all over my fingers and clothes for some reason. It also does not wash off from your hands with soap and water, which was a bit annoying to me. All in all, pigment is the best I’ve seen from a lipstick brand, but the other qualities of this product were a no go for me. I will be returning sadly. It just wasn’t for me, but glad that others have enjoyed it!

10/10/10! I love that this is non-drying and doesn’t transfer easily. I got dressed for a photoshoot and used this lip product. The shoot ran behind, so I grabbed a bite to eat. When I finally arrived, I asked how my lips looked, and I received so many compliments—as if it had been freshly applied! I thought I had a red I’d never replace, but Bawse Lady has certainly stolen the show. I can’t wait to try the other TLB colors!

Bawsw lady is a beautiful deep red and it's super comfortable for a long wear liquid lip. I thought I hated this at first but I was applying too much. Go with the thinnest layer you can and it will dry down to pure awesomeness. Be precise with your application and use oil to remove.

The colors on these are beautiful! Like that it’s matte, but it is drying, so apply a moisturizer before and a gloss or topper after. For me, these are NOT transfer proof. The lipstick gets everywhere and is a pain when you’re constantly wiping everything it touches. But overall, solid product, just needs more staying power.
