A: No, it is not completely waterproof. Please do not put it in the dishwasher, you can however, rinse the probe itself under the sink or wipe it off with a damp cloth.

A: Hello, Unfortunately, the ThermoPro TP03B Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer is an instant read thermometer and is unable to be inserted into the food/meat and then cooked with. The body or base of this device is not rated for higher temperatures and will be damaged if left in high heat environments such as in an oven or grill.

Seemed fine at first. I took excellent care of it. Never submerged in water, kept it clean. It stuck to my refrigerator so it wasn't banging around in a drawer. It no longer keeps temp properly. Just ruined a pork loin roast because it shows 20 degrees less than actual. I have two other thermometers that I tested it against. Now I see why they keep lowering the price. This is not a quality product.

Lasted about three months then quit backlighting and the probe got “loose” or wiggly, and wouldn’t read correctly. In the garbage it went.

It was so easy to read being digital and it has a light you can turn on. Now My husband cannot say he cant see the temperature when it is dark out, no more excuses not to grill dinner! It is also space saving. It has a really cool feature where you can fold the probe in or out by pushing a button. I highly recommend this to anyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a similar thermometer from Pampered Chef and wanted to compare the two. I liked that this model is good for candy as well as meats which is a bonus. This thermometer feels very sturdy, has a button to release the probe to measure temperatures and a light on/off button to illuminate the display screen which is a nice feature if you're outdoors grilling or in a darker kitchen. I tested the ThermoPro out last night while roasting a whole chicken in the oven- it worked quickly and displayed the internal temp of the chicken right away. No waiting for it to come up to the proper temperature. It does the job and feels like it would hold up well so I'd recommend it. I do like that my Pampered Chef version has a extended probe that you can leave in the meat in the oven as it cooks which is why I'm rating this 3 of 5 stars. Still a quality thermometer for those that don't need the additional features.

I would not suggest using on candy because the level of heat most candy needs would melt the plastic. It did register temperatures well. I would suggest for meat only.

I love the back light so I could easily see the readings outside at night. I love the rotating and hidden probe, no more poking your fingers in a drawer. I also love the fact that it's magnetic. I have right on the fridge so again no having to fumble through drawers to find it. Very good buy!! Highly recommend!!

I have been through no less than 5 instant read thermometers in the last few years, and most of them take at least 20-30 seconds to take a reading. This one really is Instant. Within just a few seconds, it has the final temp. I've tested it against some others and it is super accurate and much faster than them. I love how it has a little button to pop open the probe and closes back up. The magnet on the back makes it so easy to store on the fridge so I dont lose it and have to hunt for it. In the event that happens, the bright red color helps. I've used this thermometer daily for about a week on a variety of meats and even breads and it gives me a precise and fast reading every time! The screen is easy to read, its easy to turn on, and I couldn't really ask for more from a thermometer.

Very easy to use, folding the probe over makes it less likely to break and turns it off saving battery. I have a metal surround oven door so stays on that with no issue Would recommend this product and company to other people looking for a meat thermometer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own and use a Thermapen mk4 regularly, but was sent this ThermoPro pen to try out. Thermapen's run close to $90, the ThermoPro runs around $15. I was truly expecting an extremely sub-par experience using the ThermoPro. Boy was I wrong! Temperatures were accurate when using them side by side. The ThermoPro took maybe a second or 2 longer to actually come up to temp, but 2 seconds when comparing the price is not bad at all! The ThermoPro also has a skinnier build, and built in magnets for easy storage and retrieval from a nearby fridge. As for longevity, Im not sure yet, as I've only been using the ThermoPro for about a week. But so far, I am super impressed, especially for the price!

Purchased this several years ago when my instant read thermometer melted when checking temp on my grill. This works great, I keep it in box it came in and hand wash immediately. Love it!
