Lasted about a year and was great. Then the wand broke off when wiping it clean. Not durable enough apparently.

Good product. Warranty website doesn't work.

I really like this meat thermometer and it works very well and gives an accurate temperature. The only drawback is that it takes longer to reach temperature than it says in the product description. But it’s still faster than the last digital thermometer I had.

I appreciate that it is a small item and can go directly on my fridge for future use using the magnets on the back. Makes the product be in easy reach when needed. I also like how the temp probe folds up into the unit and is not a separate attachment. The digital read out is easy to see with well sized number in a bright red color. Only thing that it's not great for is for cooking food in the oven. You have to open and close the oven door to ensure the proper temp. Maybe have an optional feature of having a port to plug in a long temp probe to leave in the oven. Overall a great product and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Unfortunately, especially as I don't actually eat any of it, I don't have as finely tuned a sense of doneness as I do for things like roasted veggies or baked goods, but I obviously don't want to risk getting anyone sick by undercooking anything. I had an old thermometer that wasn't digital and it was tough to see exactly where the little red line was, so I always had to cook past what I thought it said was the safe temp, to be really sure. Well, I don't know why I didn't just buy one of these years ago because it's so much faster and easier, and way more accurate! A simple push of a button, pop in the thermometer, and before you know it, the exact, accurate temp! No more guessing "Is the line past 160 degrees or just below it?" This will tell you exactly where your steak or turkey or loaf is at, so you don't overlook it OR give anyone salmonella. It's win-win!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been the owner of several digital meat thermometers, and none of them compare to the ThermoPro TP18. I am so pleased with this thermometer and how good it works! Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was that the thermometer is a little bit bulky, but it's also sturdy. The probe pops out with the push of a button, almost like a switchblade knife would. Unlike other thermometer models I have used, you do have to turn the power button on to make the device turn on. Once you do, the digital display lights up - bright! The read out is big, no squinting necessary! Once inserted into the meat, the temperature displays almost instantaneous, no waiting at all. You can click the LOCK button to hold the display at its current readout. The best part is that with that red digital display, you don't have the extra need for a light to read the results, if you're like me and don't have outdoor lighting by your grill. Other models I have used have a backlit lcd readout, which is really junk compared to this ThermoPro. Once you're done with your readout, push the button to fold the probe back in - simple. The thermometer has a good, powerful magnet on the backside, so you can easily store it on your refrigerator or wherever you find it most convenient. We keep ours on the fridge, it's always right there when we need it. I am extremely pleased with this thermometer, haven't had any pink chicken since I got it!!!!

It is essential to have a kitchen thermometer for any kind of meat or even candy making. The ThermoPro TP18 has a bright, vibrant, large display that's super easy to read. You can set it to F or C so you can use it wherever you're from. It has a locking mechanism to keep the pick from sticking out. It tucks neatly in on the side of the thermometer. There's a magnet as well so it can be stored on your oven door, your stove hood, or fridge. You can stash it wherever is convenient for you. It also has a spot where you tie a string to hang it up. On the back it gives you the temperatures of common food items that would require a thermometer usually. I definitely recommend this. Every home cook really could use one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could do 4.5 stars I would. I havent been able to use it on the grill yet since its winter, but inside its a kitchen superstar. The numbers are easy to read, the probe can be hidden to prevent damage and it has magnets on the back to stick it somewhere so you dont have to search all over in times of need. Could escalate to 5 stars during summer grilling season, but that remains to be seen.

I tried it out on a pork butt and a brisket and it read consistently within 3°. Definitely would recommend this thermometer.

I also love that the temp reading insert folds in to the handle so it doesnt get ruined when not in use in the utensil drawer. I also love that since it can pivot, its easier to measure temps of food in the overn as well!

My old thermometer stopped working properly after getting wet which is not ideal for a food thermometer. This has worked perfectly since we've been using it. I also love that it is magnetic. We keep it on the fridge for easy accessibility. I like that I can check to make sure my meat is cooked thoroughly. I would definitely buy this product - it works much better than my old food thermometer. I would recommend it to friends and family too!

I like that it's easy to read as well, and I like that it flips out (whereas my other one always pokes my finger when I go to grab it in the drawer). My favorite thing though is probably the magnets. I love having the ability to put it on my fridge. My only concern is that the probe might not last from being flipped out/in so often, but time will tell! So far, I am impressed.

I really like the locking probe to help push into larger pieces of meat and the illuminated screen means I can see the readings in the dark while using the grill.

A meat thermometer is a must have in our kitchen, so when ours died, I bought this one, and it's performed great! No complains. It does what it says it does, it's easy to wipe clean, and I love the compact design.
