Thomas & Friends Motorized Talking Percy Engine with Harold Helicopter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great toy and fun upgrade to any Thomas set. My son loved that he talks! My son plays with the helicopter with movable hook all the time. It enhances his play and imagination, and it's durable. This is a great add on for any set or even by itself.

Great quality and easy for hands to put the train together. They can easily set it up or pull it apart without any struggle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys LOVE trains and were very excited to play with Percy! Percy face is super adorable. We're big fans of the new show. You press the button on top and there are different sounds and off Percy goes! Behind Percy are 2 additional cars carrying Harold and some coal. The movement on this train was some of the best I've seen in these types of trains. It was able to motor through our carpet and different types of tracks with no issues. He does seem a little larger than your old school Thomas engine body wise but his wheels still fit on the tracks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cute toy for Thomas the Train lovers—it’s bigger than I expected too. As a parent I was impressed that it went on its own so well on carpet! My kid liked that it rolled all over our playroom as well. The helicopter comes off the train car, making it easy to play with on its own. It also fits on the wooden train tracks we have—which is awesome. The only negative would be that the hook/loop connectors for the train cars can be tricky for little hands.

I thought it would have been a little bigger tho. The bright colors caught their attention and they laughed every time Percy spoke. They had a little trouble pushing the button but eventually got the hang of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a hit with our family. My three year old son absolutely loves Thomas the train. When he saw that Harold was part of the toy that it came with he was ecstatic. This toy is well built and withstands my three olds craziness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Loved that the train self propels itself forward. And it went a long distance, which kept my 18 mos old occupied. But easily gotten broken. No longer moves forward so my daughter has lost interest in it. Didn’t last 2 weeks :( Wish I could figure out how to fix it. It was the perfect size and the attachments to the train are easy to put together. I am gonna continue to see if I can fix it. Honestly I might try to purchase it again to see cause I say it is worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice toy. It has the battery included, which is great because it can be played with right out of the box. We loved that it had a few cars and pieces with it. The sounds are fun and a nice addition to the train. I was surprised at how far the train went with just one push of the button. The only thing I didn’t like was the wheels. They picked up pieces of hair from our carpet and wrapped it around the wheels. If you hold it against your hand while the wheels are spinning, it almost grabs the skin and really hurts. It has quite a bit of power behind it, but I guess that’s why it moves on the ground so well too. I also liked that there weren’t the usual stickers on the side of the toy. The designs were actually a part of the plastic.

He enjoys pressing the button on top of the engine and watching Percy take off while reciting fun sounds and phrases. The included train cars along with Harold the Helicopter easily disconnect for additional play which is a nice feature. We’ve even added Percy to one of our Thomas train tracks and he races along perfectly. This is a wonderful addition to our Thomas & Friends collection!

I thought he might be a little old for it but I was wrong, he’s been playing with it right along with all his cars. The helicopter is his favorite, what a great addition to this set. Another great toy by Mattel.

This incarnation of Thomas has re-captured the imagination of my children, who are 8, 6, and 4 - especially the 4 year old, who is still in the sweet spot of loving his trains. Talking Percy and Harold is a fun and welcome addition to our collection. My kids loved that Harold could fly around and they enjoyed using Percy on our existing Trackmaster tracks. Percy's face is fun and animated and this toy sparked a good 4 hours of bringing out the trains and creating an imaginative track set up! Highly recommend for Thomas fans - it was a joy to see the kids playing with the trains!

It is very interactive in that the train talks, makes the train whistle, and rolls on the track or the floor. The engine also has a light on it. Our young grandson loves the Thomas and friends trains. The trains will even interact with the other friend trains, so now we must get them all. Percy has Harold on one of his train cars, so it is extra fun for the kids. It has given him hours of fun so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New favorite toy for my two boys! My 2 and 8 year old have loved playing with this toy. While we have a lot of Thomas trains, we don't have any that move. We had ones previously that were very sensitive, but this one seems very robust. The batteries go in the front train only. The other cars are attached just with simple hooks - this should make them much less likely to break than previous electronic trains we had. It's pretty simple to push the button to turn it on or off. It makes noise, but not obnoxious. And best of all, it goes really far without having to push the button again. The boys have loved playing with this toy and I feel like it will last a long time and keep their interest for a long time. A great toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This motorized train is an awesome toy! It is very sturdy and will hold up to rough little hands playing all day. The train easily glides across my tile floors. While I’m cooking, my son loves to bring Percy in the kitchen and watch him travel all over. The train also works great on the train track set we have. My son loves Harold the helicopter and what’s so great about this toy is that all the pieces are removable. So my son can just take Harold with him if that’s the only part of the toy he wants to play with. He loves spinning the propeller on top. Harold also has a really cool feature. If you flip the piece directly under him there is a hook that you can use to attach other pieces. My son loves flying Harold around! Another thing I love about this toy is that my almost 3 year old son can attach all of the pieces himself. He doesn’t get frustrated when putting them together and they don’t fall apart easily when he plays. We only have the Percy train so I can’t say how well the train recognizes other talking trains but now we have an excuse to buy another one!

My little train fanatic can't get enough of running it around on the carpet or wood floors. The train feels sturdy and is brightly colored with the classic Thomas the train face. Great quality and super cute!

Not only does it make noises and talk, it drives itself and pulls the train cars! The removable helicopter was a huge bonus toy. This kept the kids occupied for over an hour. There are lots of different noises, so it doesn’t repeat often. The button that makes the train move it nice and big and easy for little fingers to push. I would recommend this toy to any train lover!
