Wanted to love these, but they immediately make me nauseous and start dry heaving even when taking them before being pregnant. That never happens to me either

I really reeeeallly want to love these. They have the best values of needed nutrients, HOWEVER, the taste and smell is unbearable. Especially in the first trimester. They literally smell like dog pee and I can’t get over it. Really wish that wasn’t the case because I would totally continue buying if they worked out. Oh well… back on the hunt.
No thanks

My fertility clinic strongly recommended this brand going into pregnancy treatments. It’s great that’s truly gluten free as I have Celiacs which can affect fertility. It also has all the right vitamins so you don’t have to add on a bunch of extras. Paired up with calcium and DHA it’s perfect.

Great basic prenatal vitamins. Doesn’t have strange taste like some others do. Easy to swallow and didn’t cause any nausea. I typically take these with food to ensure I don’t get nauseous. Great prenatal vitamin that I recommend.
Great prenatals!

These are great. No immediate nasty aftertaste and I don’t have an issue with tasting them later like I’ve found with some vitamins. I love that they contain iron (many prenatals don’t) so I don’t have to supplement with another iron vitamin. No complaints here!

I didnt mind taking these Thorne Basic Prenatal Multivitamins everyday. They are super easy to swallow. There was no nasty lingering after taste. I really like that these Multivitamins have a plethora of vitamins and nutrients in them to support a healthy pregnancy.

I’ve been taking these Thorne Basic Prenatal vitamins for about a month now. About a week ago, my husband looked and me and said, “Your hair is getting thick!” I didn’t even pay attention until he said that. Not only is my hair thicker, it’s shiner and healthier and my finger nails are stronger. These vitamins are doing the job for me! I will say they are a little hard to swallow because they are large capsules but with plenty of water, you’ll be fine. I totally recommend these! Go get them!
Love these!

I have been taking this basic prenatal because I am nursing and they have been working great for me so far. I love how the capsules aren’t too large which makes them easier to swallow. They have a light scent that doesn’t smell bad at all.

These prenatal supplements will not be something I repurchase simply because it is suggested for one to take three capsules a day (there are 90 capsules included). Personally, this is unappealing. I would rather just have to swallow one capsule. Perhaps, I will give a different item from this brand a try, however.

I love this brand and their array of vitamins. Thorne is known for their high quality ingredients tested and used by athletes/influencers. This isn't the reason I enjoy their supplements though, their products don't give me side effects like bloat, metallic aftertaste, and nausea. The average rating is comparing this prenatal vitamin to other quality brands. I was taking New Chapter and this was one large pill per day compared to Thorne's 3 capsules a day. It's a personal decision; however, I prefer to only take 1 horse pill per day. Thorne's are a normal capsule but, coupling these with other prescribed meds are a handful for me.
Bad flavor.

I loved the extra vitamins that this prenatal had over some competitors, but I felt like it was downhill from there. The coating of the supplements is extremely thin and there is barley time to swallow them before you start to taste the TERRIBLE flavor. And you have to take three. A day. Honestly this was just too much work to stomach down and I have gone back to my old one-a-day prenatal.

Great quality pre and post natal vitamin!! This is such a quality product. I could tell the difference soon after starting to take them. I felt better overall, my body felt supported, hair and nails grow like crazy, and my milk supply was unchamged. The ingredient list is balanced and clean, but not gluten free if that's a concern. They come in capsule form making them easy to take. I would prefer only having to take one or two pills a day but there isn't a big deal. Like most prenatal vitamins they did make me nauseous. Now, I just take it at night before bed and don't have any issues.
Good quality but missing choline + a lot of capsules to take

I love this formulation and Thorne products for their quality. This prenatal has great coverage of necessary nutrients for pregnancy and postpartum. I’m only giving it 4 starts because it doesn’t contain choline or DHA and you have to take 3 capsules to get the daily requirement. 3 capsules isn’t hard in postpartum but I wouldn’t have been able to take these in my first trimester due to being nauseated.
Great vitamins!

I have been nothing but nauseous this pregnancy! I’ve tried multiple brands of prenatal vitamins and these are the best so far! They don’t have a smell to them and they go down pretty easily! The one con is you do have to take 3 of them per serving which for me is not ideal.
Easy to swallows.

I’m happy with these vitamins , they are loaded with great ingredients. You take three a day , and they have been very gentle on my stomach. I like that they are capsules so they are easy for me to swallow. This company makes a great line of different products as well. The prenatal vitamins definitely fit my need just perfectly.

The bottle design is lovely. It’s feminine and soft with the art on a white background so it gives out a clean feeling. I’ve compared this bottle against two other brands in my possession and I loved how many more nutrients/vitamins this bottle lists on its label. With that being said, I’m not exactly sure if a pregnant person really needs all that extra supplements. To be frank, in order to receive all the extra supplements, one needs to take 3 pills each day. 3 pills!! That isn’t even counting all the other supplements/medications a pregnant woman may need to take during the pregnancy. Crazy. Personally I supplement my diet daily with prenatal due to medical reasoning. That extra folic acid is good for female in general. And I remember that it was annoy how many supplements that I had to take during my pregnancy few years ago. In addition, I can’t tell the difference between the different brands as I can’t do blood works to compare. Therefore, Thorne prenatal supplements will not be in my future medicine pantry. I mean, do you see how big the pills are?!
