Q: I purchased 2 146-oz and 1 92-oz bottles of Tide Clean Breeze from Target on 12/03/23 with these UPC numbers. None of the bottles have the he symbol anywhere. Why?

A: I called Tide and they indicated that the detergent is not HE if it is not marked as such.

A: All Tide products have been thoroughly evaluated to be use in homes with septic tanks. As long as you follow the recommended amounts as directed, they do not damage the septic system (including aerated systems) or plumbing systems with a properly functioning septic tank.

Q: Is Clean Breeze scent now the original scent of Tide? Bought the "original Tide" and it smells as if the scent formula had been changed to something unrecognizable and quite frankly, not that appealing.

A: Hello Carol. We upgraded the scent of Tide Original a couple of years ago to make it a warmer, woodsy scent to provide longer lasting freshness on dry fabrics. At that time we migrated what was the Tide Original scent to our Tide Mountain Spring liquid detergent. Why, oh WHY would you ever change a formula, a scent so beloved and tied with cleanliness for A LOT of people? Not only did I HATE how Tide changed the formulation of the scent without renaming the smell, thus gaslighting consumers into thinking *we* were somehow in the wrong for it smelling different, but I hate how the Tide team is like “aw, too bad you don’t like our scent that we totally changed and still call the same name for some reason *shrug*” and that’s all they do even though I can see SO MANY comments here pleading, begging them to bring it back. 5 years into searching for a new laundry detergent, and I still haven’t found another replacement. Tide, own up that your new smell was unpopular with the masses and bring the original Clean Breeze back! You had years to fix it, you had years to see if it’ll gain popularity, and it’s obvious that your new formulation failed because I don’t even see the “new” Ocean Breeze anywhere anymore, and I bet it’s because no one buys them anymore. Much like the “original’ scent of tide, the new Ocean Breeze scent has something in it that causes PAIN in my body when I get a whiff of it.

I couldn’t figure out why my sinuses were driving me crazy, some smell was driving me nuts, it wasn’t my moisturizer wasn’t my hair product. Then I realized my husband bought the Clean Breeze which is overpowering. Wished I would’ve caught this before I opened it. Guess I’ll wash throw rugs and rags with it. Very disappointed.

Target's website shows that you carry a 100 ounce clean breeze in HE but when I when I went to do my pickup order it was not HE. I did a return online and when I received the replacement, it again was NOT HE. I went to the Cambridge store to return, which they did with great difficulty, and tried to purchase the regular scent of Tide in HE and the were unable to sell it to me at the price I purchased the orginal. I think that your website needs to be updated.

I have purchased Clean Breeze HE for years, there’s ALWAYS BEEN an HE sticker on the bottle. The last 4 times I bought in person/did order pick up @ my store, the bottle does NOT have HE on it and I believe it is NOT the HE formula. I have a ton of bubbles in my machine after the wash is done. This never happened with the HE formula. I have gone to 4 different stores, not just Target looking at their Clean Breeze HE detergents & not one has an HE sticker on it but the store stocked it in their HE spot.

I do wish there wa a less chemical version that was as effective to clean the clothes as they do. My kids have not had any reactions to this so this has worked well for our family neeeds. My mom used this and it works well for us .
