Description
Tide Purclean eco-box is the same great plant-based Tide purclean liquid laundry detergent but in a smarter package. Its the first plant-based liquid laundry detergent that has the cleaning power that you expect and deserve from Tide, even in cold water. It’s compressed into a shipping-safe package made from 50% less plastic* and features a No-Drip twist tap minimizing any leaks and spills. To assemble Tide eco-box detergent, simply pull the tab on the side of the pack to reveal the tap and dosing cup. More importantly, it’s easy to use! Just twist the blue knob counter clockwise to dispense the desired amount. Make sure to twist slowly so the detergent doesn’t come out too quickly. *per oz vs. 2.25 x 46oz bottles

A: Tide purclean™ liquid laundry detergent does not exploit animals for the ingredients or labor to generate the materials used in the product. It does contain plant-based enzymes which are derived from the natural fermentation of sugars. It does not contain honey, and the fragrance is inspired by the scents of honey and lavender, but the product does not actually contain those ingredients.

I have used this for my baby since birth! It’s great for sensitive skin and smells heavenly!!! Dreft is packed with chemicals and things, this is a bit lighter on the chem side and smells SO GOOD. We have had no stain issues and again from birth so it’s gotten out everything from blowouts, milk stains, to now spaghetti sauce and dirt. I would recommend this for any use and just remember it’s very concentrated so a little goes a very long way. I prefer to use with warm or cool water, not too hot but to each their own.

I like tide laundry soaps but never the powder. People still buy that powder mess, I think it's bad for the materials. I love liquid soaps, but I would just LOVE Tide to make laundry SHEETS for the WIN!!!

I really wanted to love this version of my favorite detergent. But, the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. The cup is always crusty because there’s nowhere for it to drain. The bag you have to adjust every time you use it. While I appreciate this is better for the environment, it is making my laundry process more difficult.

Wanted Unscented but this smelly stuff was all Target had for some odd reason. People who prefer Natural, Clear, Free, No extra chemicals products, typically want Unscented.

Wanted to love this and many people described the scent as “mild”. Maybe I’ve been using lighter scented detergents for too long but this is so overpowering that hang drying my clothes has made the entire house smell like artificial honey lavender.

Detergent smells really great and works good. I’m also glad to see tide at least attempting some eco friendly options, but this one really feels like a half attempt. No issue with the detergent besides the ingredients could still be “cleaner” but the packaging is awful. It’s a big plastic bag inside of a plastic coated cardboard box that even though it uses less plastic, wastes more detergent and feels infinitely less recyclable than the normal containers. It’s also just annoying to use. The cup gets buildup and the valve is hard to control and messy, when the bag is near empty it’s a nightmare to get out. It’s hard to use, less recycling, and more expensive than better eco friendly cleaners.
