Sound The small portable mono speaker produces rich and dynamic audio. A heavy-magnetic driver is set in an airtight cabinet to ensure impressive low-end frequency response from such a compact cabinet. The output gain adjusts the volume in half-octave increments resulting in tonal balance and accuracy.

Based on the specifications of the Tivoli Audio PAL BT Bluetooth AM/FM Portable Radio & Speaker, it has Bluetooth 5.0 for receiving audio. However, the specifications also clearly state that it has a "Stereo headphone output (3.5mm)". Based on the specifications of the Tivoli Audio PAL BT Bluetooth AM/FM Portable Radio & Speaker, it has Bluetooth 5.0 for receiving audio. However, the specifications also clearly state that it has a "Stereo headphone output (3.5mm)". This indicates that the Tivoli Audio PAL BT is designed to send audio to wired headphones via the headphone jack, not to transmit audio wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones. Therefore, no, the Tivoli Audio PAL BT does not work with Bluetooth headphones. You would need to use wired headphones connected to the 3.5mm headphone jack. I bought a Pal BT from a store in Braintree Massachusetts and it was wonderful. We had it for year-and it finally died. We bought another one from someplace out West and it never worked right and they never backed it up. We have it sitting here and don't know where to take it to be fixed. Any suggestions for us would greatly be appreciated!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with the PAL BT. The sound it produces is clear, precise and pleasant. The size is really perfect for travel and it fits nicely in our small living room area. An unexpected pleasure is using the FM radio with is analog dial. Turning it to find a station and then fine tune the connection is very satisfying. Almost as soon as we received it we left on a trip to southern Massachusetts and enjoyed picking up stations from Boston and Cape Cod. The BT works flawlessly and sounds much better with music than I had expected from something this size. We are very happy we chose the PAL BT and recommend it.

After 31 years operating high end audio shops , the simplicity, sound quality and steadfastness of both my Model One and now my PAL BT are a special type of thrill. Lounging in our nice yard is even more enjoyable with PAL sitting on the fence behind me, playing lovely classical music or jazz.Both signals are on the weak side, but PAL has zero trouble w/ them. Both BT & headphones are truly useful features too, PAL is a no bells & whistles unit, a true achievement in a day when you can’t buy a car without an “ entertainment center.”

I had a 15 year old PAL that lost its mojo. I kept it in my bathroom and listened to news and music while getting ready in the morning. I needed to replace it and went with the new model PAL. Good reception, speaker quality. And Bluetooth is an upgrade. I take it outdoors to my patio and chill. So far so good. It ain’t cheap but good sounds are important.

Great compact radio with AM / FM & Bluetooth. Sound really good for just a mono speaker and gets great reception. Doesn't need a power source, so just make sure it's fully charged and you're good to take it where ever you might go. I'd buy it again . . . highly recommended !

Love it. I had one of the (I think) original PALs, purchased in very early 2000s. It sported a really nice matte bronzey-brown and still worked perfectly. Unfortunately that finish somehow got sticky with age and trying to clean it made it worse. Bought a white one several years back for my downsized bedroom and finally gave up waiting on new colors/finishes and bought another white one. My one suggestion is that you offer it in some more muted, elegant colors as well.

I was completely in love with my last Pal. This one doesn't work half as well. Part of why I ordered this in the first place was bc of the ability to use the dial and find radio stations the old fashioned way. The percentage of stations it picks up is awful on the new model. I am planning on returning the new model and looking to have my old PAL refurbished. I use it everyday. There is also a delay when I turn on the radio of silence. I waited years to replace my old one, I'm very disappointed, I wish I felt differently. I will be calling Tivoli to start the return process.

We love it too, of course. But we have it on a timer for when we are gone because our house rabbit loves the sound of people talking. We come home and she will just kind of be parked in the hall listening to it. Tuner is sensitive and radio sounds great. BT feature is easy and very good as well. Great by the pool. The yellow color is fantastic.

Our classical/jazz station on the public radio FM comes in loud and clear. The station is in HD FM and has an upgraded transmitter. The PAL sounds great with this station, revealing the enhanced bass , treble and midrange as well as the timbre of the various instruments and vocals. I can even get in a community radio station that is miles away. The Bluetooth is clear and sonorous forpodcasts and music app.on my smartphone. I highly recommend getting a PAL BT. You won’t be disappointed. - Liz.
