Q: Is the tube made of plastic now (hard to squeeze all the product out)? Or is it metal (which means you can get all the paste out)? Not very environmentally friendly if so.

We are making our recyclable tube with #2 HDPE, which continues to have a strong recycling stream for packaging as well as other uses. It is also a common type of plastic used by other personal care and beauty brands, as well as home care and food brands, which is why we are collaborating with the broader industry, to include retailers.

I wanted a whitening tooth paste so I'm trying this. It has a strong minty taste, I'm used to a much milder toothpaste. Since it's so strong I only use two or three times a week. So far I haven't noticed any whitening. It might work better if I used it every time I brush but for me it's too harsh for that. I alternate between Tom's and Biotene.
