Q: Does this have a strong black liquorice taste?
submitted by Husker Mom - 7 months ago
A: Hi there! Yes, our product does have a hint of black licorice flavor. Many of our customers enjoy it for its unique taste, which adds a distinctive twist. I would also note that the lemon, orange, and cinnamon in this Lemon Echinacea blend help balance out the flavors well. If you decide to try our tea, we hope you enjoy it!

I found this tea so delicious! I didn't have time add anything to it. We went on a trip and I had packed some. I had some both of the morning gs we woke up there. I was so happy bc the taste was so good. I'm still not 100% and I had to stop drinking coffee. It's been so nice to have this tea instead.

The taste and smell aren't great. I am new to drinking tea so not sure if it is an acquired taste. I drank this without vomiting thank goodness. I added honey to it and it still tasted bad so I added a couple drops of mint extract and it made it bearable. Won't purchase this again it was pretty gross!
A must try!

I've been drinking this tea for probably the last 5 years. I can say, the first time I tasted it, I was completely disgusted. I dumped it out after having a few sips. BUT it honestly did soothe my throat instantly. My throat was so sore and I was coughing so much, I tried again with added honey and it was tolerable. Now I can drink it without honey easily. I wouldn't say it tastes good, but in my mind it's linked with instant soothing and decreases coughing. You do really need to let it steep for 15 minutes, so I suggest a double walled mug of some kind to let it sit. I also use 2 tea bags at once often when my throat is really bad while I'm sick.
Perfect tea!

Believe it or not, this tea helps soothe your throat and cough. I will be honest, I don’t like the taste at all. It’s a very strong black licorice taste. I made myself force it down and I LOVE herbal teas. But it truly does work and I prefer to drink an herbal tea any day over toxic chemicals in some cold medications.

Be cautious if you've never had echinacea before

Be super careful if you’ve never had these ingredients before. I believe it was the echinacea in it, since I’ve had all other ingredients, but I ended up having a horrible allergic reaction to it. I had to take 2 doses of prescription strength antihistamine and a steroid to bring the rash down that developed on my body overnight after drinking it before bed. The taste was very heavy licorice tasting also. Even if I wasn’t allergic to it, it wasn’t great.

I’m very picky when it comes to my tea flavors, but this one is amazing! It’s not too strong, pretty mild imo, and adding a little bit of honey is just the finishing touch. I started taking this when I was having really bad allergies and going into cold/flu season, and I really feel like it helped! Echinacea is a must have for me when it comes to immune support, especially in tea form. This is a constant repurchase!

Definitely recommend this tea when you’re sick. I was having throat pain from a dry cough and this along with ibuprofen worked great for the inflammation. You do have to steep this tea for 10-15 minutes which is a lot compared to 2-3 steep time but I guarantee it’s worth the wait. Has a good taste but I did mix in a tablespoon of honey so not really sure how it tastes without honey.

I am normally not a tea drinker. This tea really has helped me with my throat issues. I have lost my voice multiple times and this tea has really helped me. I normally drink it with honey.

This tastes NOTHING like lemon. It tastes like hot black licorice, it’s disgusting. It’s also way overpriced.

I didn’t think it would actually work, but it definitely helped my sore throat go away a few days faster. Just have at least two cups daily and it will cut down the longevity of your sore throat.
