Q: Why can't a DVD be played while charging?
A: Hi Elaine. You can play a DVD while charging, it's just not recommended. It's not recommended to use any item while it's charging because it drains the battery faster than it charges and this can cause damage to the batter, for example not holding a charge for as long as it should, requiring longer charge time with less play time.
