Description
The Tripp Lite® by Eaton® 1,000-Watt-RMS PowerVerter® Compact Power Inverter provides a durable and safe way to power office equipment on the road, power tools at a worksite, or use household appliances in your car, truck, SUV, or RV by tapping into the vehicle's 12-volt battery. The PV1000HF features a lightweight housing, which makes it ultra-portable, so you can take your power inverter with you from vehicle to vehicle or wherever you need to use your equipment. I had several power inverters before I got to tripplites, but once I tried first the 300w, there is no way back to the other brands. The. I got the 500w, then the 650, 750w and now I amazed by the 1000w.

I came to this website to check up on the model I was going to purchase. It said 60Hz, and the voltage 120. Modified Sine Wave are usually 115, so I assumed, that this was a pure sine inverter. They are way more expensive than other models, and astronomical compared to to others I have had. I got it home and it would not run a Induction Hotplate, which then I realized I was mistaken and not a Pure Sine inverter. This should be stated more clearly on the product pages, it seems deceptive to me. It will be the last time I purchase a Tripp-Lite.

Use this in a vehicle to power portable accessories and available if I lose power in my all electric house. It will let me run an extension cord to take care of some basics needs in an emergency.

Solid construction, easy to operate and dependable. I have this in a work van to provide power for operating a laptop, recharging batteries, running tools like a small air compressor and lights. Has come in handy in using my tools in assisting stranded motorists to get them back on the road. I like the battery saver feature that will not let it discharge my vehicle battery to the point of not having starting power.
