100% Cotton Bed Blanket - Threshold™

I think some reviewers are confused about material and function of this blanket. There are a lot of reviews about shedding and lint, which are accurate, BUT this is normal for cotton!!! A couple of tips if you’re new to cotton: when washing and drying for the first time, empty the lint trap in your dryer half way through the cycle and again at the end. Yes - there will be tons of lint for the first few washes. This blanket is light-medium weight and it is meant for layering, meaning it goes between the sheets and comforter. It’s not the softest blanket on the planet because it’s intended to go on top of your sheets, which should be soft since they touch your skin. If you intend to use this blanket as a top comforter or throw blanket, you may be disappointed. I am super happy with it as a layer between my sheets and comforter. As a hot sleeper, I was worried it would be too much, but it’s perfect. It doesn’t cause me to overheat, which is also due to the fact that cotton is a breathable material. TERRIBLE Quality! Ran this blanket through the washer and so much cotton came off it clogged my sink. I had to call a plumber. This blanket is poorly made junk! If you want decent bedding do not buy it from Target!

I love 100% cotton blankets. It is soft, lightweight but keeps me warm!

This blanket is thin and breathable, yet warm. I love that it is all cotton and it has no synthetic material in it. The king size fits my king bed very nicely.

Nice quality and washes well.

This blanket sheds like crazy. Little fuzzies get all over the floor, the other blankets, anything that’s in the room. I washed it twice and it didn’t help. It only made holes in the blanket. Avoid this one at all costs.

Perfect weight and softness

I was hoping for a little more warmth but I love the heavy weight! Overall it was a good purchase!

I have purchased man of these blankets for my Airbnbs and I get lots of compliments on the quality and feel. They are durable and have shown no signs of wear.

So. Much. Lint. I washed this blanket according to the tag instructions and my dryer lint trap was FILLED WITH LINT. Like, and extreme amount. And when I took the blanket out it was getting little white lint balls on everything. So I washed it a second time and the same thing happened but not as bad. It had a good price but only because it’s a low quality blanket. I kept it anyway because eventually the lint will stop.

Can’t expect too much from a blanket if you need it within budget. With it being 100% cotton, in store & the size, I don’t mind the price. The quality for price is not surprising, yes tons of lint. After washing 10+ times naturally the lint has decreased. No holes yet! For long term use I don’t recommend; for me this is a get by item, I will invest in a better quality blanket in my future.

It's a wonder that this product is even for sale. This blanket is awful. I've never seen a blanket, or anything else, that sheds as much lint as this. The washing machine was full of lint/shedding and then during the cycle in the dryer, I had to empty the trap at least 4 times - the lint screen was completely coated in a thick layer each time. Simply shaking out the blanket results in a cloud of lint, and if you get the blanket near any clothing, you better have a lint brush handy. This is trash.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. This is the worst thing I’ve ever purchased. I bought in store so couldn’t have been saved by the reviews. Let me save you, do NOT buy this. I have lint on my eye lashes, in my mouth…it looks like a bomb went off in my laundry room. Target better take this monster back, because $42 doesn’t even scratch the surface of the time it took for me to clean all this crap up.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. don’t fall for the 5 star reviews. this blanket sends white fuzz into the air like crazy, even after 3 drying cycles. don’t buy this unless you like being covered in white fuzz at all times.

EXTREMELY linty. I always wash bedding before using, but realized after the first load how linty the blanket was, so I washed again just for it to still get lint everywhere. The lint trap in the dryer was also filled with lint from the blanket during both loads. I would return but already threw away the tag. On top of it being so linty, it’s borderline scratchy and not soft at all. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Sturdy but very rough. I wouldn't cuddle up to this blanket but it does its job and keeps you warm.

I have this in white and navy. It’s a great blanket, but the amount of lint that comes off in the washer and dryer is INSANE.
