Yes, it’s a waste basket BUT it has other uses! I store my (Target) paper bags in it, so they are neatly available to grab for re-use or to hold my recycling. A second one holds my broom, swifter, etc, (can you tell I don’t have a huge kitchen with lots of storage space?) It’s pretty sturdy for a low priced item.
