Description

Made with Pure Cocoa Butter and Ultra-Hydrating Lipids, Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Cocoa Radiant body Lotion for dry skin prevents dryness and helps keep your skin looking healthy and hydrated. With daily exposure to environmental triggers (like wind, lack of humidity, and sun), skin’s natural moisture barrier can break down, allowing water to escape the skin. But the Ultra-Hydrating lipids in our Cocoa Radiant lotion fortify the skin barrier and replenish moisture to allow the skin’s natural barrier to recover. Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Cocoa Radiant Lotion, formulated with Ultra-Hydrating Lipids and Pure Cocoa Butter, moisturizes skin for a long-lasting, radiant glow. This body moisturizer is clinically tested to provide 90% more moisture (vs. untreated skin). This body lotion for dry skin absorbs fast for rich moisturization without the residue and provides 48-hour moisture. Use this dermatologist-tested body lotion daily on dry, rough skin for stronger, noticeably healthier skin. Just apply to your skin for long-lasting moisture. This lotion bottle, made from 50% recycled plastic, now features a recyclable pump. The bottle and pump should be recycled together. Our Intensive Care™ range works to heal dry skin from deep within. Explore the range of Vaseline® products, including Vaseline® lotion, and enjoy the healing power of Vaseline®. Vaseline® has a range of products to help heal, soothe, and moisturize all skin. I was hoping to use this lotion after another brand's cocoa butter body lotion was discontinued. Unfortunately I broke out into hives on my arms and legs after the first use. I had no prior known skincare or fragrance allergies and do not have sensitive skin, so I was surprised and disappointed by the bad reaction.

I'm so disappointed that they changed the formula of this product without notifying consumers on the label. This has been my holy grail body and hand moisturizer for 10+ years and I've recommended it to countless people but cannot any longer. It used to sink in rapidly and moisturize so well, now my skin feels dry again after a few minutes and it feels like there's a film on my skin, like so many other subpar products on the market. If you compare the ingredients you can see that they've removed the shea butter and isopropyl palmitate, along with many other changes. Old ingredients: AQUA, PETROLATUM, GLYCERIN, STEARIC ACID, ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, GLYCOL STEARATE, DIMETHICONE, TRIETHANOLAMINE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, THEOBROMA CACAO (COCOA) SEED BUTTER BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, CETYL ALCOHOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, PARFUM, METHYLPARABEN, MAGNESIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, CARBOMER, PROPYLPARABEN, DISODIUM EDTA, STEARAMIDE AMP, CARAMEL, TITANIUM DIOXIDE New ingredients: WATER, GLYCERIN, PETROLATUM, STEARIC ACID, DIMETHICONE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, PEG-100 STEARATE, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) OIL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, THEOBROMA CACAO (COCOA) SEED BUTTER, PHENOXYETHANOL, CETYL ALCOHOL, MAGNESIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, FRAGRANCE (PARFUM), METHYLPARABEN, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, XANTHAN GUM, PROPYLPARABEN, DISODIUM EDTA, STEARAMIDE AMP, COUMARIN, GERANIOL, HEXYL CINNAMAL, HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, LIMONENE, LINALOOL, CARAMEL

I use this daily on my face and do not have any issues with it, it doesn’t make me break out and I’m assuming in 20 years I’ll look youthful and wrinkle free. I love the smell of cocoa butter so that’s also a win for me.

This new formula is much more lighter . It doesn’t moisturizer your skin the same way the old formula does. Please atleast put back the Vaseline jelly in it . This is definitely no longer a winter lotion. I’m disappointed this was my go to .

I love this product not only is it not super thick or watery but perfect consistency, great smell moisture all day, but I love it because I discovered bugs or specifically mosquitoes do not attack me when I have this on. That's right it repells mosquitoes. I don't have to wear that nasty smelling, sticky mosquitoe repellent.

    Mixed Feelings: A Fragrance Experience

The initial scent of this product is very off-putting, reminiscent of cheap nylon with an overpowering hint of artificial chemicals. Unfortunately, this unpleasant smell lingers on the body for a long time. While the cream itself absorbs well and leaves no residue, the lasting scent is a significant drawback due to its cheap and synthetic odor.

I normally use the Almond Smooth or Nourishing Moisture lotions when using the Vasoline Intensive Care Lotion. I haven’t m gotten the Cocoa Radiant one in years, until now. It was pretty obvious something was different when I did a sniff test in the store, but I figured maybe it would be different once I got it actually on my skin. So when o got home and tried it, it became EXTREMELY clear something was VERY different. I remember the vivid cocoa smell from when I tried it awhile back, now nothing about it smells like cocoa or anything remotely similar. This is literally bug stray in a lotion. The citronella is OVERWHELMING and after reading the ingredients (which are much more chemically than previous formulas), Hydroxycitronellal was in it. And after doing some light research on this chemical, I came to the conclusion that the bad effects it potentially can have on our skin and bodies heavily outweigh the good it does. And after reading about a few of the other ingredients, it’s evident that the “bad ingredients” they want to appear to have done away with are in a sense still presence just in different forms. For instance, Limonene molecules can react with the air and create formaldehyde. And not to even mention the Ingredients in this lotion that are extremely toxic to dogs, geraniol, linalool, etc. My dogs is always around me, always licking me, and not only can these ingredients make them sickly, it can severely damage their major organs. I understand many of these ingredients are in safe moderations in the formula and they do have beneficial properties in regards to the lotions and what it’s meant to do and what not. But this one has really freaked me out. And I LOVE Vaseline products and I have been using them loyally my entire life but this Cocoa Radiant lotion and the rabbit hole I went down on the new ingredients (new and old) are making me want to never put this stuff on my skin again.. I know if I started researching all my other lotions and body care products I’d be freaked out about many other brands as well, but Vasoline is one of my top favorites and one I’ve grown up on and swore by my whole life. But anywho, to sum it all up, the Cocoa Radiant Intensive Care Lotion is citronella scented not cocoa, so if you want to literally smell like actual bug spray repellent than this is the lotion for you. And research the ingredients you’re putting onto your skin, people. It’s scary. I’ve never been the person to really care about ingredients like that but after everything I read tonight I am definitely going to start paying a little more attention. VASOLINE, I love you, guys. I really do. But this ain’t it.

I have been using this product for over 10 years. I am so incredibly disappointed with the new formula. After putting it on my body, I literally started smelling like spoiled food, almost fish like smell. Absolutely disgusting. I even broke out in rash, as if I had allergic response to it. I had to trash it and go looking for something different from another company. I cannot believe you screwed up a beautiful product this badly. Please take into consideration our feedback and bring the old product back.

I have been using this daily for years for my very dry skin. With the new 48 hr formulation, the smell is awfully perfum-y, but I thought I was getting the same product as I have been previously using. Just a week of this, and my fingers and toes started drying out and cracking - which was the clue to me that this new formulation was missing a lot of petroleum jelly, and no more shea butter in its ingredients. I will have to find another product to heal my dry and cracking skin. Not to mention the bottle's pump leaves 20% of what you paid for still in the bottle, and you can't open it liked the older versions.
