VetriScience® Laboratories’ Vetri Disc combines bovine tracheal cartilage with amino acids, mineral sulfates, vitamins, pepsin, and natural silicon sources - all necessary for the support and maintenance of connective tissue.
Bovine tracheal cartilage is a rich source of chondroitin sulfates which make up the connective tissue matrix and are found in an especially high concentration in the spinal and invertebrate disc tissues.
Other ingredients like taurine and equisetum arvense are necessary for the synthesis of connective tissue, while minerals like calcium and magnesium support bone growth and maintenance. Zinc is necessary for tissue respiration and is also important in the body’s healing process.
Amino acids such as serine link the glycosaminoglycan structure to connective tissue proteins, and vitamins C and D support collagen production and calcium absorption, respectively.

I'm not sure I can give a good rating yet. My dog hasn't been on it long enough to notice, she still has back issues and will be seeing a neurologist to pin point what's wrong. She has to take 3 capsules a day and with her other meds it's hard to space out.

I feel that this product was a vital, huge part of 2 of my dogs disc recovery process! I tell everyone who has a dog with disc issues about how this is the product to have to aid in the process of the dog's recovery. I can't thank you enough for this product. I love to have something safe and natural that my dogs can have help recovering.

This disc support is amazing. My dachshund has been using this for over 6 years and have put my 2nd dachshund on them also as a preventative. I have a bulldog who has reached 12 and is doing great! I give (almost) all of her success to this. She's been on it for about 4 years now after IVDD. I'm not saying it cured it, that would be a medical diagnosis, what I am saying is that she's 12 and has arthritis, back issues and hip dysplasia and she's doing stairs like a champ, and even still has bouts of "puppy play". Is she the same as she was when she was 8? No, she's not... she's 12. But, this is the only supplement that she can take because of her allergies that has made a difference to her quality of life. For dogs that don't/can't take pills, you can empty them out over food or mix into a treat. Yes, they are large capsules, but they don't have to swallow them whole. I have recommended this to friends and family every time they tell me about an older pup.

Unfortunately the pills are too large for my dog. I have to cut them up into eight pieces to give to my dog. My dog hates medicine so that becomes an impossible task.

Within days of starting this product with my two older dogs, both of who have bad back problems, disc issues and arthritis, they started moving and running around like I haven't seen them do in years. I am sold! If you have an arthritic dog that is hurting I can't recommend this product enough!

After my 3 yr old furbaby underwent surgery for 2 herniated discs in her neck, I was advised she had "spinal issues" and will may/may not have reoccurring issues. So it was necessary to keep her activity level on the lower side (not an easy adjustment for a pittie). My veterinarian recommended the Vetri Disc to help rejuvenate her spine growth. I have been giving this to her daily for 8 years and WOW it most definitely has made the difference in my dogs overall health and has significantly improved her spine. When we have had smaller level spine issues (non surgical) she has recovered quickly and I truly feel that Vetri Disc is the reason her spine is much stronger . Thank you !!!

The story is too long to tell but suffice it to say my 5 year old Basset hound was completely paralyzed in the hind legs for almost 3 months from degenerative disc disease. Surgery was not recommended so we opted for ultrasound and acupuncture which didn't seem to help. I had almost given up hope when I read about Vetridisc. 3 days after starting this supplement he took a few wobbly steps. Every day brought a little improvement. 2 weeks later he was running and now a year later he's still running and still on Vetridisc. Not sure if it was a miracle or if this is a miracle supplement but I am one happy customer and my Basset is a happy boy!

A full set of x-rays when our dog was 9 showed she had severe spinal arthritis. We had no idea ! She'd been on Vetri Disc & Glycoflex for years & had no signs of discomfort. Sadly, she was Dx w/ vaginal cancer but was always up for a run till her last days. She was a rescue & was abused and malnourished over her first year. We rescued another emaciated puppy 7 years ago & started her on glycoflex first sign of stiffness. Helped but Vetri Disc is the real star. She's running & jumping like a young dog ! Thank you

I highly recommend for IVDD dogs along with the glucosamine. it has made a huge difference in my senior dogs mobility after suffering from IVDD. this product keeps him moving!

Looks like a good product. However- there was not a picture of the actual size of the pill. It's way too big for my small dogs and they won't eat the chewable ones.

I have a 4 year old Dachshund that started not wanting to move around much. I work in a Veterinary practice and I knew it was classic signs of back pain. He was started on Gabapentin and Methocarbamol, but 4 days later he still wasn't moving around, so I ordered Vetri Disc on-line. It came in the mail the next day so I started it right away. I was so relieved when 3 days later he had noted improvement. I weaned him off the medications over the next 7 days and he has just been on the Vetri Disc. He hasn't had any problems since. I want to thank you for a great product- I feel it was a life saver for my dog!
