Taste and smell is horrible! yes I tried it after my kid spit it out. Just like what other reviews said, not for kids neither for adults taste buds. My fault for not reading the review prior to buying. I end up taking it since I have a cough too so as not to waste money. Nyquil helped a little but the dayquil did not helped at all on my symptoms. I am never buying this again.

The taste is horrible. My daughter started gagging and I thought she was being dramatic so I tried some and I also spit it out. Horrible taste. Unfortunately it went straight in the trash.

As someone mentioned, this item was NOT kid approved! My kids love the taste of honey and use it for teas & smoothies often so they are familiar with the taste. Told them it was going to taste like honey even though the smell imo was awful, I thought the taste would not be. They HATED it. Said it was the worst tasting medicine they’ve ever had! I feel like I wasted my money because they refuse to take it.

Thankfully Vicks NyQuil Kids Honey comes to my rescue by providing fast and effective relief. Although it doesn't taste as nice as honey water, it's definitely faster acting and longer lasting. It'll come in handy whenever my child gets caught by a bad cold.

I give him the night time medicine before bed and it helps to relieve his symptoms and fall asleep, sleeping through the night without waking up sick. In the morning, we do the day time medicine to get him through the day. The honey flavor is such a plus - my kiddo is so picky with medicine flavors but he loves the honey!
