A: This trap is reuseable or disposable. Instructions on the side of the box says for disposal to squeeze the trap firmly, opening the trap to discard mouse. Thank you for your questions.

Put some peanut butter on a small piece of bread and stick it through the hole at the bottom of the trap then clamp it down and set it down aligned with a wall, and I guarantee that you will catch you a mouse within some hours. Maybe even faster 😉

These didn’t work. We set two up and nothing. I bought an original mouse trap just incase these wouldn’t work and luckily I did because the original styled mouse trap worked better. I wouldn’t buy this kind again.

Not effective against small mice. Would need to be a substantially sized rat to trigger it. A little hard to explain, but a small mouse is not tall enough to push the mechanism upward. That's what makes the trap different than the traditional mouse trap: they need to push up on the mechanism trying to get to the food rather than press down on it like a traditional trap. If they are small, they will just get a free meal and walk away. I did like how it was safe for our cats. And we will still keep it around our garage just in case a large one ever makes its way in. For small mice, I would recommend a more traditional traps that they step on to trigger.

We set up 6 of these, and the mice keep eating the peanut butter without setting off the traps. The couple of times they did work the mice dragged the traps well away from where we set them before they died. I know these are supposed to kill mice, but at least the old traps didn’t strangle them to death. 2 stars because the traps did technically work 2 out of 6 times, as awful as the results were.

I’ve never purchased snap traps, and the thought of a bloody gut mess of tiny creatures, was not something I was looking forward to. I’ve had mice running around my apartment for over a week. I asked maintenance to bring sticky traps, but they didn’t. I bought these. Picked them up at 4 PM, and had 2 dead mice by 6:45 PM. No mess. Just 2 dead mice. I didn’t even have to touch the mice to toss them. These are easy to set, release the dead mice, and reset. No fuss.
Just buy this trap - don't mess with others!

Reviewers: please stop adding pictures of dead mice. We get it. Anyway it seems like it's a quick death when it gets them but some of these mice can eat the bait without the trap going off. Not sure if they are that smart or if the trap is faulty. But the traps killed 3 so far and it's easy to empty and re-set.
