My poor boyfriend bought me a press, but it was aluminum. I was so relieved when I made the switch to this one. I've had it for 2-3 years now and have no complaints. It's sturdy and easy to keep clean and rust-free.

This is not like my mom's light weight 6" aluminum press Read: this solid cast iron tortilla is heavyweight. Absolutely perfect - looking forward to using it forever (fingers crossed.) Comes with an extra cotter pin, and for me, it came in the original minimal packaging. This was just a cardboard box, but I imagine this is an indestructible item, so the box was a bit destroyed and the tortilla press... well, it's in perfect condition. haha. Price seems good - for a big chunk of solid metal that may really work forever, $25 was great.

We wanted to make some homemade tortillas/quesadillas and its perfect! We cut a plastic bag and place it over, easier to remove the dough and to clean. Its very good quality, useful and heavy.

We love this. We discovered how much better corn tortillas tasted when they are handmade, but wanted an easier to press them- this was it! We are still beginners but this makes them SO easy to press. My only complaint is that I am 100% going to lose the hair pin it came with to keep it closed when not in use, it’s so tiny. We cut open a plastic gallon sized bag and put it inside the press so the tortillas don’t touch the press, it makes clean up a breeze!

I love this Victoria cast iron tortilla press! It makes delicious fresh tortillas a breeze. The secret to avoiding sticking and torn tortillas is to use plastic sheets to sandwich the dough. Zip lock bags cut into squares work well and can be used many times. After pressing, just peel the plastic off and put the tortillas in preheated, lightly oiled skillet (I use cast iron). While one is cooking, another is pressed and prepared. The cast iron is definitely superior to the wooden one that I once had. It is solid and a great value.
You will NEVER buy store bought tortillas again!!!!

This was an amazing press and saved me so much time!! The tortillas presses out evenly with little effort. I put rubber feet in mine to prevent scratching. Use parchment paper to help with cleanup and easily move tortillas. I clean with a mostly dry towel and brush away any little residue that’s left. Which is hardly any. Buy it if you can! My daughter went to buy it and it was out :-(
This is the one you want!

I'm a type A personality so I like perfect. Perfect is really, really good. When I saw what this press could do and how easy it is to use it blew my mind. Why would anyone want to try and press them out by hand when this is available? Fast, simple, quick, easy, uniform ... it takes that little ball of dough and presto whammo, you've got a perfect circle ready to go in the pan to cook. And depending on hard or easy you press, you totally control the thickness of the dough. I'm even using it to press out naan bread and to get a good start on pie dough (because it makes the dough uniform in thickness and size, it makes it easier to roll out to the size I need). But as others have pointed out, this is for the small size tortillas, not the large burrito wraps. It's not big enough for that. And be sure to use wax or parchment paper to keep things nice and neat. This is definitely a keeper and something I will be using on a regular basis.
