Q: Are There 14 photos in each reel or 7? because at the image we can count 14 photos in each reel but on "details" says tyhat is 7.

A: There are 2 pairs of 7 images, totaling in 14 images on a reel. You need two images for both eyes to see.
submitted byNikkiel - 1 year agoA: I wanted to share some clarity on the repeated stills — they are doubled because each still requires two frames: one for each eye to achieve the 3D effect when you look through the viewer.
submitted byAshley - 1 year agoA: The way the view finder works is that your right eye sees one image, while your left eye views a very similar coordinating image on the opposite side of side of the wheel. Then your brain combines the images it’s seeing through each eye to gain the 3D effect. So yes, there are technically 14 images on the wheel, but each 3D image when viewed through the finder uses two coordinating frames to create one image. So really when viewed through the finder you only see 7. Hope that makes sense!

An old time favorite
Remembered loving this as a child. Wish there were more discs. But the discs that come with it are great. My go to small gift idea. The kids love it but the parents even more. I’ve given it to a 2 year old and a 7 year old. A fun gift that makes no noise and needs no batteries!

Perfect for my littles!
I ordered this item and did curbside pickup. Target did not disappoint on that end. I was, however, disappointed they didn't carry packets of the reels. That would have been too exciting! Regardless, my two littles, were so excited upon opening this gift! I had an older View Master and they shared the reels until they started bending them. THAT'S when you know the gift to a child is truly loved.

Need to Start Making Reels Again
Toy is fine, problem is they no longer make viewmaster reels, so beyond the teo you get in the package, your options are to either buy one of the few options from the only brand of expensive knock offs, or buy used reels on ebay for a ridiculous amount of money. If they are bringing this you back, they need to actually commit to bringing it back. Also no longer available that you'll get to buy used for ridiculous priced on Ebay: storage for reels.

Not the quality it used to be
I used to have these when I was little and bought one for my son. I hated the quality of these. And after looking up how much these reels cost, I decided it was not worth it. He can enjoy this another time at someone else's house.

Nostalgic but not the same quality.
The price for this view master is low, and so is the quality. The plastic is very light weight and cheap feeling. I like the nostalgic qualities but I wish I would have kept mine from childhood. It comes with two reels, each with 7 images.
