Vornado EX05 Heavy Duty Small Air Circulator

Blows air everywhere and runs perfectly ... The tripod and grip both work wonders

Fan is sturdy, attractive and puts out a lot of air!

Fell off workbench and must have landed just perfectly as it broke apart, wasn’t salvagable. Was pretty good until then but, for a “heavy duty” fan intended for imperfect usage needs, it completely failed.

Bought specifically because I work in automotive field and need a fan that can handle some abuse. The housing material is fairly resilient and supposedly will not break easily (haven’t tested that claim). The clamp is convenient so I can mount it in a higher position and switch to tripod when I need it elsewhere. It does not blow air as far as my current blower style fan but it is smaller and lighter which makes up for it. So on hot days in the shop I can have a fan that is easy to move around to where I need it.

I bought this a month ago for a bunk bed and just like all Vornado products, it’s amazing! There isn’t another fan on the market that will move more air than Vornado! I do wish it was louder like the older model Vornado fans as I sleep with a fan mostly to drown out the noise.

Bought this because of it versatility for being on the stand or being hung with the clamp! Puts out such amazing air for a littler fan♥️

Like it’s versatility, the amount of air flow. Seems to be durable. We also bought the large heavy duty for our shop and recommend it as well.

was a great fan for occasional use in my shop. With this weekend's heat wave in Seattle, got it out to throw some air around the house. I ran it for more than an hour and a fan blade snapped off (jamming the motor). No more air circulation. rating it low on quality because it broke while turning. and poor on value because it is now worthless. average on performance (sure threw a lot of air), and I actually liked the design (maybe not the plastic quality).

Just bought this fan and must say it moves air pretty good. Tripod seems sturdy but the ball swivel won't tighten enough to control positioning. The clamp is not strong enough to trust it, so I may return it and find something more sturdy. Would be nice if these parts were improved. If these problems could be resolved I would definitely give it a 5 star review.

The idea that this is considered "Heavy Duty" is a misnomer. The clamping mechanism doesn't even hold the fan straight. You can continue tightening the screw to set the clamp and it continues to slide. In fact, I didn't over tighten but the plastic knob actually broke upon second use. Small is the Operative word - decent airflow but not big enough to really make a difference in a shop.

This fan works, it’s well-made, and it keeps you cool. And the clip-on option can be useful. But it falls short in a few ways: * The stand is short, and it only has one position. * The clip only allows for a limited amount of movement. You can change where it clamps onto the fan for a wider range of options, but I still wish that the swivel had a wider range. The current setup limits where you can point it. * It’s ugly. Fine in a workshop or job site, but I wish there were a non-yellow option for home use. * It’s somewhat small, which I knew before buying it, but I didn’t realize that it would get somewhat loud relative to its size. I wish there were a medium or large-sized version of this model. * It requires a three-prong outlet. Not the end of the world, and that’s safer for work. Just something to know. This model is good. But it fell short of how I was hoping to use it, and I hope that Vornado releases a version 2 that address the current model’s limitations.

I had never heard of Vornado products until I recieved this EX05 heavy duty air circulator about 5 weeks ago. We always had a large loud circulating fan that ran all the time in our living room. Lets just say I replaced (went in trash) the large bulky fan with this small very quiet air circulator and will be purchasing one for upstairs also! It comes with a tripod and also a clamp. I have used both and I love both options! I have even traveled with this and it fits perfect in a duffle bag. We use it in a large open concept kitchen/ living room and it circulates so much air. I love that it came with a 5 year warranty! I would love to see a taller tripod stand available for purchase or other color options in the future, but neither of those would keep me from purchasing another one. I have no complaints and I love this fan! I have told my family and friends about Vornado and this specific fan! I'm a future Vornado customer now! This mighty fan delivers a powerful blast of air. It can move around like a tornado. It saved us recently when we flooded, it helped save our basement by drying it so quickly. We were convinced the carpet and drywall were ruined, nope EX05 saved the day! My husband likes to use this in the garage as well.

I use these fans for constant air Movement in the house.

I was offered to sample this product. I HAD IT FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS when things started going wrong it. At first it worked pretty good, then I decided to change from the stand to the clip to put up higher and the clip didn't attach. Then the head became wobbly. I left one day and came home and it was on the floor with a fan blade broken and the motor stopped working. All it took was one fall for this to fall apart. I would not recommend purchasing. The Vornado Small air circulator is the best small fan I have came across. It is heavy duty, durable, small, light weight, portable, adjustable, and quite. It comes with a tripod stand or clamp which is interchangeable so it can be clamped on a counter, table, door, or anything that is study enough so the Vornado can be clamped on it! It is small enough that it is easy to pack for travel! I was able to pack it in a duffel bag for a trip that was out of town. I was able to use the clamp so I could clamp the fan to the table stand near the bed in the hotel. It was fantastic! The circulation of air from this small fan is amazing! I have had other brand fans that were much larger in size and never got the air circulation that I get from this small Vornado fan! The room size that I use this fan are 15 x 13, 10 x 15, and 18 x 18 and the movement of air within the room can be felt. You instantly feel the breeze circulate within the room. I was never aware of this product, until I received this and put it to use. I am amazed on what this small Heavy Duty Vornado fan can do. It meets all of my expectations and much more of what I want and need in a fan and most of all it is compact in size! I am going to highly recommend this to family and friends and would be purchasing more of Vornado products! I use this as a living room fan instead of an ordinary cheesy fan. I've only used it on "low" as the circulation is great for a small living room.
