It came in really handy during the hurricane to distract from the wind outside, and the power went out so they really liked the stars it projected onto the ceiling. My oldest is carrying tve penguin around with her everywhere. So cute and very effective for bed time.

It has a cry sensor so when it hears your baby cry, it plays lullabies and calming sounds. It also has controls for the volume and light. One of my favorite features is the automatic timer. I can set the music and sounds for 15, 30, or 45 minutes. Highly recommend!

It creates easy to see stars on the ceiling, although u recommend it being places in the middle of the room, otherwise only a corner of the room will have stars shining on the ceiling. It feels like a very durable toy and doesn't have any small parts that can be dangerous to a little one. It also feels high quality, right down to the removable penguin plush. It fits well into the igloo and is a clever set for a baby or toddler. It requires two AA batteries that are included for demo purposes. The two volume levels are acceptable, although the voice singing could have been a bit sweeter. My toddler doesn't like the singing but likes the stars a lot., and especially the penguin that can be carried around.

It’s super cute the little igloo and penguin both light up. It’s got 60+ songs melodies and sounds and phrases so when I leave the room I turn the little guy on and soothes her to sleep. I love the little light display I definitely helps to calm her down. The voice of this toy is also very calming and cute. Super soft and squishy penguin, the igloo is durable with no sharp edges. There’s an automatic timer to set the music play time, volume and light controls to have perfect brightness and sound levels. It’s even got this cry sensor that helps my little girl be soothed with lullabies and calming sounds when she cries! Vtech toys never disappoint!

The penguin is enjoyable to play with throughout the day and helps the bed-time routine when you put it to sleep. V-Tech claims that it will soothe a crying baby in the middle of the night, but I haven’t had that experience- possibly due to our sound machine. Also, the sound is not very loud from the igloo. That’s why I marked 4 stars!

At night set the light to project stars or just have it sing songs. The lights actually do reach my ceiling. You can control the volume. Only negative is that you need batteries. Other than that it's great.
