Q: trying to assemble. Are there supposed to be predrilled holes on the back to attach the back panel?

submitted by User18 - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello - There are pilot holes in the back panel piece but not predrilled holes in the frame. Please see page 9 in the attached Assembly Instructions for more information. We hope this helps! - Dee Dee

  • A: Hello, Since the nails to attach the back panel are small they are easy to hammer in and no predrilled holes are made in the manufacturing process. Hope this helps. Thank you.

  • A: Actually, nails are not provided to attach the back panel; you'll be given screws which you'll have to drill into the back of the panel.

Q: Are the handles removable? I'd like to replace them with the Project 62 3" pullbar.

submitted by VB - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi VB! You'll assemble the door handles onto the doors yourself; if you'd prefer to use alternatives, you'll just want to make sure that your new handles measure the same distance between the bolts as the included do. Thanks!

  • A: Hi VB - Thanks for viewing our accent tables! This cabinet offer storage and style for your space. We recommend that you assemble the cabinet per the instructions. Thanks for dropping by. - Anita

  • A: I originally asked this question and purchased the 3" pullbar to replace the included hardware. The included hardware is actually 3.75", so I had to return the 3" and easily found 3.75" somewhere else. The doors come with pre-drilled holes, but the hardware is not attached, it should be easy to swap out.

Q: How thick is the rattan on the door? Could it easily puncture if something inside fell against the door?

submitted by Me - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi! The rattan is a natural fiber, woven to make the door panels, and it's not backed. There's some give to it, similar to, like, a woven basket, but as Jerith mentioned, it's not very thick and so can puncture. It would depend on how heavy the item, and how hard it fell against the door. Thanks!

submitted byLeah - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Me - Thanks for asking! The rattan is 0.8mm thick or 0.03”. We hope this helps! - Jerith

Q: Are these made for sound to go through if speakers are inside with doors closed, or will it restrict sound too much?

submitted by Alex - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Alex - We appreciate you shopping for furniture at Target. This cabinet was not designed for housing audio speakers. The rattan panels and enclosure would definitely impact the sound. Thanks for stopping by. - Philip

  • A: The cane is a very open weave. I see no problem at all with placing speakers inside the cabinet. Also, in each section of the cabinet, the shelf is removable or adjustable to allow for the height of your speakers.

Q: I am hoping to fit my robo-vac underneath the cabinet. What is the clearance (how many inches) between the floor to that first rung/wood support?

submitted by Kathleen - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Kathleen, Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Warwick Wood & Rattan Library Cabinet. There is approximately 2.6 inches from the floor to the first rung/wood support. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Wait for a sale, pre-drill holes missing

HenrysMama - 1 month ago, Verified purchaser
I was really excited about this but it was harder to put together than I thought it would be and was missing the pre-drilled holes. This required a friend to bring their drill. If the holes were there as they should have been, a hammer only would suffice. Not as big or fancy looking as the photos but cute and worth it if on sale.

Cute but Overpriced, Not The Best Construction

    2 out of 5 stars
frescolito - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
For anyone who doesn’t want to read more than one sentence, here's the bottom line: this is a wobbly cabinet with flimsy wood-veneer particle board panels, and it’s not worth the premium price. It’s crazy to me that this cabinet has received so many 5-star reviews. Target has other flatpack furniture that’s surprisingly nice quality, but this is not one of those pieces. Yes, it looks pretty, but it's not engineered any better than your typical $50 DIY cubby you'd buy for a dorm. It's just a particle board box held together with a few screws, some dowels, and hopes and prayers. They claim it has a “hardwood frame.” Is the hardwood frame in the room with us now? And did I mention that the shelves sag when loaded with even a moderate amount of weight? And OMG, the doors! They each have three adjustable concealed hinges. If you’ve ever dealt with these kinds of hinges before, you already know how annoying it can be to adjust them. Two is bad enough; having to work with three is cruel and unusual punishment. I've never wanted to yeet a piece of furniture out a window so badly. It must have taken me over an hour and a half to get the doors to close properly. A little backstory: I decided to rent one of those trendy downtown apartments in a historic building, but the settling that’s occurred over the last century or so has caused the floors to become uneven. Because the cabinet is so wobbly, I didn’t realize the uneven floors were causing the frame to go slightly out of square. This made it impossible to properly adjust the position of the doors, and it took me entirely too long to figure out what was going on. I had to move it into the spot I wanted and then adjust the feet to get it to sit right before I could finally get the doors to close properly, but they’re still not entirely right. I have the lateral adjustment screws on the hinges maxed out (the ones that adjust the gap between the doors), and I’m still left with a ¼” space between them. This shows that the doors are too narrow to begin with to properly close the gap. Bonus: one of the rattan panels on one of the doors had some damage. However, I’ve convinced myself that it adds character. Am I going to keep it? Begrudgingly, yes. After schlepping it from the mailroom to my apartment and enduring the trials and tribulations of the assembly process, I’ve formed a trauma bond with it and can’t bring myself to return it. Plus, the box it came in looked like it had gone through all seven circles of Heck. And, like I said at the beginning of this review, it is cute or whatever. This cabinet needs to be priced significantly lower than the $350 it’s currently at. If it were half that price, I might be more forgiving of its flaws, but at this cost, I expected way better quality. Buyer beware: you're paying for the aesthetic, not the engineering.

We just moved and our house doesn’t have any linen closets upstairs, so I bought this to hold my duvet sets and bed sheets. I don’t see the red/cherry tint in mine, but I can see how depending on the lighting it may look that way. I also think it might be pure luck whether you get one that is too red or one that’s more like the one I got. The colors just may not be consistent for this product. Other than that, I think it’s a beautiful and sturdy piece! When I wasn’t looking my 3yo climbed to the second shelf, and all that happened is the shelf slipped out, which is much better than the whole cabinet falling on him…So I’d say it’s pretty sturdy. These pictures were taken in natural lighting so I hope it helps. The quality is great and my husband had no complaints assembling it.

I bought this to replace an IKEA cabinet in my dining room & it is as beautiful as I’d hoped! Beware that the assembly directions are pretty awful- many steps are not listed, so you need to think it through beforehand to ensure you don’t screw things together before putting the next piece in place, or without threading on the washers first. It was very annoying to have to re-do steps simply because they didn’t include 1 sentence in the directions. That being said, the doors went on well & were easy to readjust via the hinge screws so they lined up perfectly- this is usually the most frustrating step in assembling cabinets with doors. Also, the 2 shelves just sit on top of the shelf supports & could be easily moved or lifted up. I store lots of kitchen appliances in here, so I wanted them to be fixed. I just screwed in an L-bracket on the sides of each shelf to make them way more stable. I didn’t love the see-through aspect of the woven doors which made it look very dark, so I taped pieces of watercolor paper to the inside to lighten it up & to completely hide what is inside. I did have to do a bit of extra work to get the look & function I wanted, but I’m super happy with the final result. It is a really pretty cabinet & a huge upgrade to my space!

I have a narrow walk-through by our dining room. It is a bit of an awkward space, but I was hopinng to squeeze some extra dining room storage into it. This cabinet is not too deep and a somewhat compact size and it worked perfectly for me. Though the price was modest, the color and style blend perfectly with my cherry cabinetry. And even though the cabinet is not HUGE, I am impressed by how much storage I have gained from it! WIN-WIN-WIN! (By the way, I switched out the pulls to some antique nickel ones to match my other cabinetry. I used a standard 4" pull and it worked great. )

I love this cabinet! Yes, you have to put it together, but it only requires attaching each panel to each other and putting the doors on. Compared to some furniture you put together yourself. This is much better quality and much easier to do. The doors were a little finicky, but in my experience, getting doors to line up on any cabinet is tricky no matter what. it is sturdy and really nice to look at. It has a lot of storage space inside, which is what I needed for my office. The color was just as it appeared in the online photos. I love it!

I read the reviews, some reporting a door gap. Also many reviewers loving this cabinet. I loved the look so much that I decided to take my chances. I got the gap. One reviewer suggest adding shims behind the hinges, which I haven't tried yet. I still love the look but I am disappointed with the quality for the price ($350), adjustments to the structure should not have to be made by the consumer.
