WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD - M.2 2280 - WDS100T2X0E

I currently have 2x SN850X 2TB and one 4TB with heatsink. I use one (2TB) for OS and everyday programs and the other for multiplayer gaming. Games load super fast and i couldn't be happier. The 4TB SSD i use for games you don't typically play online and for my movie collection (400+ movies and 500+ TV episodes). The playback is flawless and without stutter. Something you don't really see mentioned is the WD dashboard program. It'll tell you the condition of the card and it's constantly updated. If a SSD does begin to burn out, you'll know. read write speeds as suggested in technical specifications. easy to install as all nvme. the edition without heat sink is very thin. i suggest always put some thermalpad and heatsink on these drives. less thermal is more lief for them as always. not to mention the speed stability with them.

The website is misleading. Beware companies using MB (Megabytes) when the speed ratings shown actually match Mb (Megabits) which is obviously 8X smaller or slower if comparing speed. While this drive is performing at the speeds shown in Megabits, it is absolutely not in MegaBytes.

Works like it should with my Mac Pro 2013 "trashcan". I had a Samsung 980 Pro but after their latest firmware update that drive started misbehaving. Apparently Samsung's controllers don't play nicely with macs. WD was recommended by the mac community and it has been a good decision.

I would give it 5 stars but it's not on gamestop website and other retailers other than your website having a exclusive item only on your websites is not good I would bye but not paying 900 over the internet I will do it in a store gamestop

I have now put three of the SN850X drives in my computer 2 of them a re 4TB and the other is a 2TB. All of them are running perfectly with zero issues. I love that WD provides the best drive clone software you can get with your drives for free. This is not a program they made but one that is made separately and they purchase for you to use to have the easiest time when you do finally need to replace an SSD at its end of life. I had a 970 Samsung that had started to fail and I was able to clone it before it died all together. I got one for my nephew and tried it in his system a MSI Bravo 15 laptop and it would not play well with that system. I found out MSI in those laptops do not like that high of speed of a drive. I found this funny because MSI says it is a gaming Computer.

The 2TB SN850X NVMe does not perform to the advertised 7000 Mb/s rate. WD website is not user friendly enough to find if there is a driver that needs installation to operate the SN850X as an external on a Mini Mac M2.

Purchased as a gift for my son and he was happy to receive it.

This is the one of the very best SSDs. Games are smooth. Laptop boots up quick and is fast.

This was my first NVMe SSD purchase, and I could not be happier! It's been running great, and my temps are great too! I was surprised how fast Windows 11 installed on this thing. It had those files copied over and installing in hardly no time. I've installed Windows many times, but never seen it install that fast. No issues with gaming. Games load pretty fast. Drive installation was easy. My motherboard had an included beefy heatsink, so I did not have to purchase one. So keep in mind, you don't need to buy a heatsink if your motherboard already includes a decent one. Yeah, so far all is good and hoping it stays this way! And I would certainly recommend this drive! Lastly, be sure to pull off the protective film covering the thermal pad on back of the heatsink before installing your drive. I've watched some YouTube videos of some installing their drives and forgetting to remove that film. That's not good! My System Below. System Name: GO DAWGS! I bought the 1TB with the Heatsink for my PS5, took me about 5 minutes to install. Runs great, copies games and other files really fast. Bought mine in Sweden so it was a little more expensive then it is now. I simply love it. All reviews says the same: it is the best! Better than Samsung and so on. But one advice, now that they are so cheap; go for the 2TB. Trust me you wont regret it.

This drive was unusable from the start, my laptop would not recognize the ssd at all so it would not format it. I removed my old ssd and tried to use this ssd as main, windows was able to "fix" this issue during repair... everything worked after that, then i installed a program to check the speed of this ssd. It would NOT give me the 7300 advertised, instead i got 3710.92 and bellow. With that said, I decided to return this product. I think they sent me a defective product

I've bought this for my PS5, but need advice on which heatsink to purchase. Should I buy a single-sided or double-sided heatsink for the 4 TB version for my PS5? And which model dissipates heat the best?
