Really solid drive and is incredibly fast for my needs. Mine is mounted as my primary drive on my desktop PC. I see no reason to go for "Top-of-the-line" drives as the SN850x as those are overkill.

Overall, really good SSD no complaints, it works as it should. Many people who post a review many times don’t know what they’re talking about, in all honesty. In my professional opinion, WD is a company you can’t go wrong with, I always recommend their products.

Had the pleasure of contracting here. I know the quality and the care that goes into different products. I bought this for a setup that I was building. Actually I'm using the setup now. This performs beautifully for everything that I need it to. WD is actually the only brand of HDD and SSD's that I use due to the quality. I have drives that are over 10 years old. I upgrade out of procedure/habit. This does not disappoint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed Western Digital's WD-Black SN770 SSD 2TB on a new windows gaming PC I bought recently. This drive offers a lot of speed, storage and performance. The speed is incredibly fast and impressive. Most games load instantaneously and a few larger games take at most 1-5 seconds, so patience and waiting are not required! I also installed the PC OS on this drive and it boots really fast as well, likewise there is no waiting to get to the desktop. At 2 TB it offers a ton of storage space. I transferred a huge library of games to this drive and still have plenty of space to add a lot more. When playing games, the games play better and game pausing/lagging is completely eliminated it’s just not a factor. This is my third Western Digital drive and this is the newest and largest one I have. With each new Western Digital drive, the performance just keeps getting better and more affordable. This new drive took a giant leap and is just noticeably faster. As always Western Digital is a leading brand and from my experience their drives are well-made, durable and reliable. I don’t think I will need it but I like that Western Digital put a 5-year warranty on this drive. This is a real luxury and a great product.

As a gamer myself, I want things quick, precise, and definitely need an adequate amount of storage, and this driver really helped to boost my performance on my laptop ALOT and the added storage was definitely a plus with this product. Overall, since using this product I've had a great experience and for that I would definitely recommend!

This thing is super fast. I was upgrading from an old WD green HDD and this is legitimately night and day difference. I’m loading games faster than consoles now. I have two, one for OS and one for media. Install was a breeze but if you need the tiny m2 screw it’s not included. Windows saw it right away and 2 minutes telling windows what I wanted to do with it, I was up and going. I’m loving everything about it. For the price point, this can’t be beat.

Very easy install, fit perfectly. Just open bios to recognize, save, then format in disk manager. Glad I did not buy the one with heatsink, since my Dell laptop has one built into the drive cover.
