i am a long time fan and follower of wnrs on instagram. when i heard about this game being created, i knew i wanted to get it, but i wasn’t sure if i was ready to answer whatever prompts it may have, who i would play it with. just all encompassing, if i was ready for what it might hold. after some growth i’ve done myself, last year i asked for it for christmas, and received it, and thoroughly went through the cards in this deck. some of these cards i would have been terrified to answer two years ago, or would have felt attacked or immediately gotten defensive over them. but i’m no longer afraid to answer any of these, and i’m not afraid to dig deeper on any of them either. i’m no longer afraid to be honest with myself and others. take the ‘note from the creator :)’ of the game that you get with every box to heart. it’s true, whether you want to admit it or not, and if you’re not ready, only you can tell when you are. things take time. growth takes time.
Fav game ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am truly fascinated by this game. Such a beautiful way to get closer to a person or a friendgroup. I played it the first time with two friends. We all had a rough week and the mood wasn‘t so good when we met. But after we started playing this game we really started to connect to each other and it was such a good hangout :). Thankyou for creating this game! Sometimes I struggle with finding good conversation starters and this game really helps!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner and I were finding it difficult to sit down and build intimacy through personal and challenging questions so I thought a couples question-based game would help. What I bought was much much more than I bargained for, with “We’re not really strangers” I’ve deepened not only my relationship with my bf but my relationship with friends, family and colleagues. It’s made me more curious about others’ lives and more introspective. Thank you <3

This game leaves you with a deep sense of belonging, gratitude and appreciation for not only human connection but those of which you are surrounded by. I have known my friends for 15 years and I have just found things out about them I would have never known(context: I'm 20 and have known these people since Kindergarten). Great for honest in depth conversation to learn more about others as well as the way you are understood and perceived. 10/10 game. I would buy over and over again.
Really looking forward to using this game to spark interesting conversations with friends and family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have already been playing the "couples edition" WNRS card game with my husband for a couple of years and it has been my favourite date night plan for a while! I ordered myself the classic WNRS card game for christmas this year and have trialed it once - I said we could just do 1 question each, but we ended up playing for about 30 min (8 cards ish). It was really nice. I like getting to know the people close to me better, or at least confirming what I do/don't know about them. So fun and wholesome!

this game has become my north star and litmus test for getting to know how others may or may not connect well with me. i believe the first time I had gotten this game was about 3 years ago, and since then, i have gifted it twice during two white elephant celebrations during the holiday season. it can be silly and lighthearted in some moments, and knitty gritty during intense questions. my current suggestion/observation is how the level 3 card quantity is the same amount as the others, but for how i have used it with friends, we use that section the least. i personally would prefer more section 2 cards, but that's just me. btw i love the tiny pencil and notebook. overall: big big slay
