Cute little chess set simply too tiny. And it's my fault for not reading the dimensions more carefully. It was pictured beautifully, and on looking back it was pictured in a way that you could not discern its true size. purchased it for a seven year old that is all about chess said it would teach chess. There's a tiny sheet front and back with a few instructions. Disappointment. Would love to send a picture does not offer that function.

The pieces are small, so not appropriate for children...I'd say 12 or over to be safe. Everything is well contained and the magnetic really keep the pieces on the board even in car rides with bumps and vibration.

The pieces are securely held in position by the magnets, but are still easy to move on your turn. The folded board provides handy storage for the pieces. The one thing that would improve this product is a little metal tray to hold captured pieces so that they do not slide away. Other than that, it's perfect!

The magnetic feature is a plus so no pieces get lost. The only improvement I see would be to have a molded foam insert to store the pieces in so they don't rattle around inside the board when it's closed..

It's great for traveling because it is magnetic, which makes it easier to keep the pieces on the board. I'm always looking for entertainment that is not a device and this magnetic chess game is perfect. The pieces did not budge even on the bumpiest roads and even when flipped upside down by the kids. It provided a couple hours of play as the kids learned how to play chess together. Highly recommend this product and will be buying more!
