I have a standard/entry level sewing machine on this desk (nothing heavy duty), and the weight of it has bowed the top of this desk so the drawer no longer closes correctly. Attractive but apparently not built to have anything setting on top.

I bought this for use as a small desk. I was expecting some issues after reading some of the reviews, but it came with no defects or parts missing. It was very securely packaged to prevent damage. lt took about 2 hours to get everything together - mainly because some of the angled screw holes were difficult to line up. Once everything was secured, it proved to be very solid. The drawer works flawlessly I keep a monitor and printer on the top and store keyboard and mouse in the drawer. I don't know what the weight limit is, but I haven't had any indication that it is anything but stable.

I absolutely love this desk. i love the color, i love the size & it is exactly what i thought it was going to be! This was super easy to put together. all the parts were delivered & there was no damage! It took roughly 40 min to put together. I will say it is a bit pricey & it is good quality, but it definitely shouldn’t cost as much as it does. It is the perfect amount of storage for me. Everyone reviewing saying “it’s too small” or “not enough storage” or “not the size expected” should’ve got out a measuring tape & looked at all the pictures, just saying! the sizes are accurate & the pictures are accurate as well. I will insert a few pictures of my own. The drawer: the drawer holds a 5 subject notebook, a planner & folder comfortably all stacked on top of eachother! it is roughly 3 notebooks wide & roughly 2 thick (5 subject notebooks, which are bigger than the standard size). I am using this for college schoolwork, also the laptop on the desk is 15in (for reference!)

SMALL. I was really looking forward to this and knew it was small but I mean it’s really small. The drawer will fit a few SMALL office essentials (notepad, pen, etc). Also, the quality for the price I think is lacking. Feels flimsy and came with scuffs throughout. Front drawer wasn’t glued properly so it’s a splinter accident waiting to happen. Was eyeing this for so long and truly disappointed.

Even though this is a small desk, it comes in a large box but completely disassembled. It took about 2 hours to build alone and I am fairly handy. I still have two screws that don't fit in the slot they were supposed to that I just put to the side and hope it doesn't fall apart. The desk looks nice though at the end and I didn't return.

Was looking for a very specific size to fit into a book that was still stylish and not cheap looking. This desk fits the bill! Wood color is slightly inconsistent and putting it together took me an hour or so. Otherwise I’m satisfied for this temporary fix, price could’ve been lower.

Surprisingly very well made and easy to put together. Made of solid wood in most parts unlike the pottery barn desk I was looking at that was 4x the price and made of soft pine. This desk is an absolute win. We are using it as a desk/vanity/nightstand. Still waiting for the McGee ottoman to arrive that we will slide under and use as a seat.

This desk is of a decent size, easily being usable for an adult or a child. I didn't really care for the drawer itself. I prefer a drawer that sits flush to the desk and this sticks out slightly to give a handle rather than having a divot. However, it is very sturdy, looks great, and was surprisingly easy to build.

This Hearth & Hand desk fits in to my decor perfectly. I imagine it would fit in a variety of decors. The wood is beautiful. It is a simpler piece of furniture, but still attractive. This was relatively easy to put together. It probably took me half an hour or 45 minutes by myself. It's also a sturdy piece of furniture- not flimsy at all.
