Description
Changing the game of lawn care, one yard at a time, the GT Revolution is lawn manicuring tools in one. Converts almost instantly from a trimmer, to an in-line wheeled edger, to a mini-mower, so you get a professional-looking lawn that’s easier to maintain. This is so much more than a weed-eater, it’s a Revolution.
At less than 6 lbs., and with a telescoping shaft, 7 handle, and 6 rotating head positions, almost anyone, can comfortably use the Revolution. The shaft is a full foot longer than the original GT, and the grips are ergonomically designed to give the user a firm handle on each of the three functions. And when you want to switch from trimmer to edger to mini-mower, it’s just a push of a button and a turn of the head. No tools needed.
It’s powerful, too! Spinning at 7600 revs/min and running on the same 20V Powershare battery that powers our chainsaws, the GT makes nice, clean cuts. The patented Command Feed system gives you fresh line whenever you need it—no bumping or auto-feed. With an extra spool holder right on the handle, if you do run out of line in the field, you can just pop in your extra spool without a trip back to the shed.

Q: How long does it take to charge the battery, and how long does a charge last ?

A: Hi Gail, you must charge the battery before first use. Allow the battery to charge for 12 hours upon initial use. CHARGE TIME: First use-12 hours; thereafter, 1 to 6 hours depending on the battery). When you charge the new battery or one which has not been used for long periods of time, it may not reach full charge until after you have discharged it fully and recharged it several times. The battery will only accept 60% charge upon initial use and after prolonged storage. This means that you may experience decreased run time. However, after several charge and discharge cycles the battery will accept a 100% charge and you will notice that increased run time as a result. The battery charger supplied was designed to charge the lithium battery also supplied. DO NOT USE ANOTHER BATTERY CHARGER. Runtimes may vary however you can receive up to an hour per charge. We recommend purchasing an additional battery to assist with tackling larger tasks. We have a high capacity 20V 4.0Ah lithium battery that will increase your runtime with twice the amp hours of our standard battery. WORX also offers 60 min quick charges to get back to the job at hand faster. A: Hello Valued Customer. The Worx WG170.2 12" - 20V GT REVOLUTION Grass Trimmer comes with three spools. The line is pre-wound on spools specially designed to work on Worx the WG170.2 12" - 20V GT REVOLUTION Grass Trimmer / In-Line Edger / Mini Mower with Command Feed. You may, however, use a different brand line and reuse the spools. Be sure to use a line that is approximately 0.065” - Heaven

This is our 2nd trimmer that we have had to trash because the trimmer blade broke. Brand new this year and it lasted 2 months. I noticed there is no replacement part so we'll have to trash this one too.

Trimmer blade fell off after one year of very light use. They don't offer a blade replacement like other brands, so I had to order a whole new guard. Blade has fallen off again less than a year later. Now I can't even find the replacement guard. Will definitely go with a different brand next time. Ryobi products much more reliable and offer replacement parts.

I have have many of your products, an older 3 in 1 grass trimmer that just broke that I had for many years, Cordless Snow Blower and your Aerocart (lightweight wheel barrel. I just brought the 20V Power Share GT Revolution String Trimmer. I was wondering if I could use the 32 Volt batteries that I have and still work from my older grass trimmer or my 20 Volt batteries from my snow Blower as extra batteries for my new GT Revolution Power Share?

Leaves a very nice edge on the lawn. for grass and weed trimming it is easy to use and works fast. It is easy to load the trimmer line and easy to refill when needed. This is my 1st. year with this trimmer, but I will never go back to a gas trimmer. Batteries are easy to charge. Love it. Thanks,

I like the ease of switching from regular weedeater to using the wheels for guided edge trimming - that is a nifty design feature! The battery lasts about 30 minutes, so that is a little short (-1 star), but overall I'm still glad to have made this purchase.

The new features are awesome. Lightweight, easy to use! I love helping my husband with yardwork, but most tools are too heavy for me to manage. This Weedwhacker/edger is amazing I love it. Thank you for the upgrades of extension handle, auto thread feed and new wheel positions! My second WORX weedwacker/edger and there is nothing wrong with the one I bought 7+ years ago… just wanted the upgrades!!

My wife is very small. 5 ft. 100 pounds. Trimmer is light weieght and collapsable down to her size. It does great on normal trimming an edging that you keep up with. Works it pretty hard in really big heavy stuff. We mow professionally a few days a week and suprisingly they hold up a coupe years. We carry five or six batteries an it will get her thru the day. She loves it so i do too.

This is the second WORX trimmer I’ve purchased. I bought one for myself and I liked it so much I bought one for my son on his birthday. The trimmer works great, easy to use, light weight and changing the spools are a snap. However using it as an edger has not been as successful. The wheels fell off the first time I used it, same for my son. We both put them aside and said we’d have to do a bit more homework on this aspect of the machine. Overall we both love it and I purchased it for the trimmer part, but would like to use the edger as well. So 5 stars for trimmer and at this point a fail for the edger.

Once I figured out how to use it I am really pleased with how it does edging and trimming. When you are 90 years old it takes a little longer to master it!!!
