SUPER loud and doesn’t sharpen the pencils correctly. The sharpener also stops completely if the base separates from the pencil shavings basket which doesn’t happen often but definitely enough to be annoying, its like the vibrations from the sharpener make them separate from each other. I liked that it has multiple slots for different sized pencils but thats about it.

Works perfect on all the random colored pencils without breaking the lead!

Purchased this pencil sharpener last year. Broke within months. Does not stand up to elementary classroom use. Also the shavings bin pops out too easily which makes it hard for the children to sharpen their pencils without adult support.

This is the worst pencil sharpener I ever purchased. It literally ate every brand new pencil and broke them down with no point. I had to return it. I will never buy this product again!

This pencil sharpener sharpens pencils very fast and precise! This is an excellent sharpener to have in a classroom for high volume pencil sharpening! The blue line helps students identify which hole to put the pencil into. Although the pencil shavings reservoir does not stay in place while sharpening, one small piece of tape on each side holds it in place perfectly. I'm buying my second SchoolPro sharpener today!

The sharpener works fine IF the pencil shavings reservoir stayed in place. It slips out easily when using it, which turns off the sharpener. VERY FRUSTRATING

I have used this sharpener in my art classroom this year. There are a couple of quirky things about it; however, it is still going strong. You have to make sure to empty the shavings catcher before it goes above halfway. Otherwise, the shavings collect around the blade. Also, you have to make sure the container is pushed all of the way in otherwise it will stop working. I have had to take it apart a couple of times to unclog the blade which was a bit of an ordeal. However, it continued to work just fine. I use it multiple times every day and it has withstood heavy use from middle and high school students.

It’s easy to use, has a nice sized waste bin so it doesn’t fill to fast. Love the fact that it has different openings to fit just about any sized pencil you use. And it’s so easy for my grandson to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great pencil sharpener. It is on the larger size so it takes up more room than other pencil sharpeners. The feature I live the best is that there are 6 different size holes for different types of pencils. 3 young holes (small, medium and large) and 3 triangle holes (small, medium and large). The large ring hole is great for larger pencils that kindergartener's use when learning how to hold a pencil correctly. I dont have any triangle pencils to try this holes out but the pencils that I did try I got a nice even point and the point didn't break right after sharpening.

The shape er itself is great it does its job. The size is a bit larger than I thought and it’s not very quiet! I will be donating this to my moms class room and getting one that’s a little less bulky for home. If you are looking to sharpen bulk and or for a classroom this is perfect!

Those small sharpeners were not cutting it.This product and is quite ,fast and does it neat and clean. Very easy to empty.A good size not to bulky. Sleek designe.

It is much bigger than some other brands, but the suction cups at the bottom keep the unit in one place on my desk. It is sturdy and quick. Simple and safe enough for the young ones to use as well, and the tray holds a good amount of shavings so you don't have to empty it out too often. The pencils sharpen quickly and doesn't make too much noise. My only complaint is that sometimes the point is sharp, but still has wood on one side of the pencil. Since it doesn't happen all the time, this may be due to the pencil itself, not the sharpener. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend the product.

We had a hard time finding an electric that could fit these large pencils. I love the adjustable face it allows us to sharpen all types of pencils. The sharpener is very fast and not loud at all. The shaving holder is very large so it doesn't fill with shavings quickly. A must for any classroom.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electric pencil sharpener looks just like you see in the photo. First impressions are that this is built to last. It feels solid and the weight of it means you don't need to hold onto it while it operates. It is larger than we expected as it is about 7" high x 7" deep x just over 5" wide. We bought this to replace an old battery operated one that died. It is nice knowing there are no batteries to replace. My daughter said this is same sharpener in her classroom at school but they need to ask the teacher for help in using it. She is in grade 2. We understand why because the motor is very strong. Turning the dial to select the correct diameter for the pencil is easy for a child. With a firm grip on the end of a pencil, start by pushing it in quickly. Continue to hold it while gently nudging it forward as you feel the blades shaving away the pencil.. It took my daughter a few tries at first as she was tentative pushing the pencil in but got the hang of it after sharpening about a four to five pencils. Hopefully this sharpener last as long as the warranty So far so good and we are pleased with it.
