  • A: No, this warranty begins right away so it overlaps the regular free year warranty from MS so you have to get the 2 year warranty at target if you want an extra year of protection.

submitted by - 3 years ago

Q: Does the Square Space protection plan replace the controller with a refurbished controller or a new one if it breaks or stops working.

submitted by karenl - 5 years ago
  • A: target protection plans overlap with the Microsoft warranty so if you buy 2 years you actually only get 1 because Microsoft already covers 1 year.

Summary of reviews

The controller offers a premium feel and extensive customization options, making it appealing for serious gamers. However, many guests report issues with stick drift and button responsiveness shortly after purchase, raising concerns about quality control. While the battery life and comfort are praised, the frequent mechanical failures overshadow its strengths. Guests suggest considering warranty options and being cautious about purchasing due to the mixed experiences shared.

I've been seeing a lot of people complain about stick drift but it's such an easy fix using the core menu. I'm sorry but if you can't perform a simple recalibration then maybe you shouldn't be buying electronics. On the other hand I'm giving this a four stars because of the price. Like seriously Microsoft it's not worth that much, it doesn't even have turbo or rapid fire...

The controller itself is amazing but on PC it constantly disconnects and reconnects when used wirelessly via Bluetooth, which has caused multiple frustrating deaths and interuptions in the middle of gameplay. Luckily you can use the included USB-C cable included and it works perfectly but this is a major flaw for a $100+ controller. I cannot speak for how it works on Xbox consoles but PC users be warned

Controller came out of the box with stick drift. Sent it into Microsoft for warranty repair, waited two weeks, got it back with worse stick drift as well as the d-pad missing from the controller. Called Microsoft and never got a solution. Terrible company, terrible product. Would not recommend.

Owned it for not even a day. I had stick deadzones on my game turned on and when I realized and had turned them off I noticed the controller had gotten stick drift. That’s weird? I never dropped the controller, it was purchased the day before and advertised as new. Not even owned for 24 hours. I noticed the box was a little bit worn, had some scratches, the peel sticker was there but thought it was just the box and believed I was getting a new product. I guess they put the sticker on refurbished items and sell them as new who knows. But it turns out other people are complaining in the reviews about the target in Huntington Station giving out refurbished controllers for the new price when purchased online. I do not recommend purchasing products from this store. Take your money to a different target store.

I can almost conceal it in my hands. It feels so premium and nice. Like a sports car steering wheel but it is just too small. I can't seem to hold it in a comfortable manner. After forcing myself to play on it for about 10 hours I stil can't grip it or use the paddels well. I have used a Scuf Impact for years. So learing to use paddels isn't the prob. I can't even seem to use R1 to throw a nade or something without it messing up my right stick aim. NOT made for big dudes.

It absolutely sucks, I bought this item before and the Y button would not work unless if there was excessive force. I returned it thinking it was a manufacturing defect but it happened again when I bought it for the second time. At this point just get a Xbox X|S. PS4, or PS5 controller. They are more reliable and don’t usually come with any defect what so ever.

Great feel and customization is ruined by stick drift. The Xbox has a built-in tool to test the analog stick potentiometer. Use it after updating the controller and you’ll likely find the analog sticks do not align center or do not reset to center position after use. Had this issue with my first one, so I exchanged it. Returned it for another, and the issue was even worse. Such a shame because virtually everything else about the controller is amazing.

I've had this controller for a little over a year and no big issues that other people seem to have such as straight turning off, RB Phantom pressing (I recently had on previous controller) I play a combination of fps and dark souls. as long as you don't rage out on your controller and take care of I you'll get your money's worth. Customisation is amazing from triggers, stick behavior, to home button color. tak care of your things and you won have to complain like most of these 1 and 2 star reviews
