The Yakima FrontLoader Rooftop Upright Bike Mount is ideal for securely and conveniently transporting your bike. This aerodynamic mount fits a variety of vehicles including SUVs and cars, featuring tool-free installation for easy setup and removal. It protects your bike's finish by avoiding frame contact and accommodates disc brakes, thru axles, and full suspension bikes. Designed to fit Yakima StreamLine™, factory, and aerodynamic crossbars, it fits wheels 20”-27.5” up to 3” wide and 29” wheels up to 2.7” wide, holding your bike upright while you secure it.
The versatile design fits bike wheelbases up to 48” and holds one bike up to 40 lbs at an 18” crossbar spread or up to 30 lbs at a 16” crossbar spread. You can leave the front wheel on for easy loading, though some fenders may need to be removed. With dimensions of 56" L x 7" W x 7.5" H, the Yakima FrontLoader offers a compact and efficient solution for bike transportation. SKS locks are sold separately.

There’s no real set up to speak of, the rack is lightweight, & my bike slides in and mounts, easily. I have enjoyed it on local trips so far & I’m looking forward to testing it out on a longer trip in the future. I think this is a great option for a click & go bike rack to get you & your bike off to new adventures!

It’s extremely easy to mount and unmount from the coats crossbars and is very easy and quick to get your bike on and off. Very solid and secure mount that you won’t have to worry about thing moving around while you’re on the road. You can tell this will be a bike mount that will last a life time. Great quality accessory from Yakima, one of the best car mounting companies out there. I got this product in exchange for a review.

The great part is there is no need to remove the front wheel! This bike rack comes fully assembled, no tools required!

Before, when we went on a picnic, we didn't think about bringing a bicycle, now everything is easier when using a frontloader. I was very concerned about assembling the device but to my surprise, it was installed and ready to use, the frame axles are made from carbon fiber so it is sturdy and not too heavy. I'm using a mountain bike and tried to put the bike on according to the manufacturer's instructions. It is very easy to keep the vehicle balanced without colliding with the vehicle frame or discoloring the bicycle's paint because the connection points are all made of plastic and do not directly contact the vehicle frame. I am very satisfied with this device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FrontLoader is very sturdy and holds the bike perfectly. It has been useful for holding and securing several types and sizes of wheels, from a 20" youth mountain bike to a 700x25C road bike. It is a great piece of engineering. The rack is lockable to my car and the bike, is quick and easy to put on and off between my 2 cars The features are well designed and easy to use - wheel size selector and cable lock in particular. I find loading a heavy bike onto an SUV is a bit high for me (I am 6' tall) to roll it forward into the front wheel mechanism but the design's simplicity, security, and ability to collapse to a lower profile when not in use are worth it. Be mindful if you have fenders or anything that may cover your front wheel as the tension needs to be on the tire or it may bend or fender. Overall, I absolutely love it!

It doesn't come with lock's core, so do not forget to buy one. To sum it up, this is a great product

No wheel removal either so you can get back on the road or the trail faster once you arrive. Lightweight, just over 14 lbs so easy to move . Highly recommend this front loading bike rack from Yakima!

It fits most vehicles and makes life with a small SUV so easy. It is winter where I live right now so I won’t be riding a bike any time soon, but I am excited to be able to use this in the summer instead of having to load the bikes in my fiancés truck!
