[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure if it works because it smells so strongly that I couldn't stand it on my dogs. It smells very strongly of cloves and chemicals. I plan to donate it; perhaps someone without such a sensitive nose will be able to use it.

I have a smaller dog so it was easy to apply. From what I can tell with using this for only a couple of months, this product seems pretty solid. Not one flea in sight (I've never had a problem with ticks). So, this is something I see myself purchasing.

The pups don't seem to mind and almost look forward to getting sprayed down as a "pampering" routine. Maybe they know it's going to help them keep the fleas & ticks off. They love to run around the backyard where ticks are primarily at and so far Zesty Paws has proven effective. I haven't seen anything on them. They only reason I'm giving 4 stars is due to how strong the product smells. It's not a terrible scent, more like pepperminty, but is overpowering. However, I'll take that over any chemical scent. The ingredients are minimal for those who like less. Overall, I'd purchase to keep on hand throughout the flea/tick season. I would recommend to families with dog(s), especially as an easy precaution to prevent the bugs from harming our fur babies. I like the price point of Zesty Paws in comparison to other flea/tick repellents. Definitely worth it! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on my old (12 year old) dog because I am uncomfortable using the treatments suggested by vets due to all the chemicals that those treatments have in them. Zesty Paws spray is formulated with natural oils that make me feel good applying this to my dog. The smell was a little too strong for my liking and I would advise to apply it while outside.There is no smell remaining on the dog after 24 hours. No discomfort or itching either! I will continue to use this as a preventative for fleas and ticks. Hopefully we will not see any fleas!

They don't mind the smell and I certainly love the smell as opposed to all the other flea/tick products that contain an assortment of chemicals. I haven't seen any ticks or fleas on our dogs over the last couple months so hopefully it continues as the Spring/Summer progresses!

However, we had her around a few other dogs (her outdoors cousin), and my baby came home with fleas. I went to the store and was looking at flea products. Most products are TOO harsh and I REFUSED to use them. This product was sent to me in perfect timing. The best part? It contains wholesome oils such as rosemary and Cedarwood oil, peppermint oil, and Eugenol oil. I love the smell. It has a natural peppermint scent. I sprayed her and her bedding with the spray for 2 days. The small amount of fleas she brought in were gone! Also, not to mention it left her smelling good AND my baby's skin is very dry this was very moisturizing on her skin and left her with some shine!. We will definitely be repurchasing when we run out.

I am tired of the toxic pesticides so I was excited to try this on him. He doesn't spend a TON of time outside, but I did use it on him before a walk around our suburban town. I like that I didn't have to spray a ton, as I was afraid he'd get nervous with the spraying and run away but he didn't. I tried this on my chihuahua and only needed about 2-3 sprays and he was covered. The scent is extremely strong (smells like essential oils) but surprisingly he wasn't bothered. I didn't find any fleas or ticks on him after our walk. I will certainly be using this every time we go on walks, especially when we are in the woods.

It also repels ticks, making it nothing short of AMAZING as we enter Spring and the fleas and ticks ARE coming!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't tried other flea and tick sprays before, so I don't have a direct comparison—but I've been really pleased with how this one performs as a backup to my dogs' prescription preventatives. It feels like a practical, easy-to-use option to have on hand, especially when you're between refills or heading into areas where exposure risk is higher. There are quite a few perks to having this on hand! I love using it as a quick touch-up before hikes or walks through tall grass or open fields—it gives me peace of mind knowing my dogs have an extra layer of protection. The scent is fresh and pleasant, and I actually enjoy using the spray nozzle (even if my puppy is still getting used to it!). I've also noticed less scratching and a nice shiny coat after using it, which is a bonus. Some minor downsides of this product includes the spray nozzle, while effective, does startle my puppy a bit—which can make application a little tricky; it's not a standalone flea and tick treatment, so I still rely on prescription meds for full protection. Of course, you do need to reapply it more frequently than a monthly treatment, which may be a downside for some. Overall, I would absolutely purchase this product. I've used it a handful of times on both of my dogs and the bottle still feels nearly full, so it's great value for the price. It's a great item to keep around for in-between doses or outdoor adventures. I would recommend this to my family and friends as well! It's been a surprisingly helpful addition to my pet care routine, and I think other pet owners—especially those who enjoy outdoor time with their dogs—would really appreciate having this around.

I've been applying this product on her and I feel good knowing it is safe for her especially in the hot summer days coming up in Texas. I definitely would recommend for prevention.

This is great for our household because our dog hates bath time! Just spray it on and brush or rub it in. It's made with cedarwood, rosemary and peppermint oils so it smells good, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Zesty Paws calming bites so I jumped at the chance when I saw I could try the Flea & Tick spray. My dog is an indoor doggie so she rarely gets fleas/ticks. However, it occasionally happens. I sprayed this on my doggie to prevent her from getting fleas/ticks. She gets itchy from time to time. I would spray her when I saw her scratching a lot and this spray helped. My only issue is that the bottle is 16oz and a bit hard for me to hold it to spray her while trying to move her short coat. That can be resolved by putting some of the liquid in a smaller spray bottle. Not a big deal. Spray smells nice. Nothing too overbearing. I really like this product! I received this item for free.

It worked well on our pups, especially living in a community with a lot of dogs. The smell is pleasant and the spray does not leave a heavy residue on their fur. I'd recommend wiping their fur with a towel after application to make sure it is spread evenly.
