Q: Am I correct in assuming that it's big enough to only cook for 1 person? I love Hello Kitty which is why I'm tempted to just buy it, but not if it's too small to cook for 3 people.

The capacity listed for all rice cookers are the maximum capacity for cooking raw short grain white rice, measured in the rice measuring cup (approximately 3/4 US standard cup). The maximum capacity for cooking other types of rice (such as brown rice or long grain rice) will differ. Q: What component of this product causes it to have a Prop 65 cancer warning?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. In regards to Prop 65, the packaging material contains Styrene and the power cord contains BPA (neither of these would come in to direct contact with food or beverage). The nonstick coating on the inner cooking pan is N-Methyl Pyrrolidone. It is a good rice cooker when it is actually working! My problem is that it has only been good for longest a year to 3-6 months. I got one from Amazon and it stopped working within 3-4 months and they would not replace it, I ended up having to buy another one from Target. I had the one from Target for a little over a year and it did the exact same thing as the last one, it just stopped working one day. Super annoying!!

Cooker is cute with the Hello Kitty designs, it's simple to use just hitting 1 button and the rice has been good everytime(we make rice daily). It's perfect for some easy rice.

ive had quite a few issues with this rice cooker, it has these huge ugly stickers on the top and when i tried to remove them they never came all the way off. cleaning this machine is very difficult there is so many nooks and crannys to clean without getting water in the wrong places i literally need to bust out cotton swab to clean certain areas but some areas get dirty and the swab is too big to even reach. then one of my family members accidently put the inner lid in the dish washer ONE TIME and it was ruined. there are more little issues but those are the main ones. i regret buying this.

The design, seal and perfect rice every time ability made me quickly look up the same model to buy a new one. I wish the Hello Kitty version came in a larger size. I like it for a single person or couple. I’m not sure if it’ll be good for a family. That does depend on how much rice you eat.
